Tenet does not find Gorelick amusing.
Tenet plays both sides of the street, but his leanings are to the Dems. I don't doubt for a minute that he has been giving the Dems privately inside information. Tenet is not a team player.

The best thing that Tenet is doing is saying almost every problem goes "...back to the mid 90s..."

Well, I'm glad you said that. They are acting like that book is the Bible, or at least the Cliff Notes for the things that happened.
The damn book hasn't even been VETTED properly by the public!

Has anyone said why Clarke gets a full hour more than Tenet or anyone else?He has a book to sell? (/sarcasm)
I honestly don't know but Brit Hume has been wondering as well so you are in good company.

Yes, I noticed that, too.

Did I hear them say that a jet from the UAE was parked somewhere nearby?

I said it yesterday, and I'll say it again, I think this panel is getting some kind of kick back for mentioning that stupid Clarke's book every other breath.

Tenet doesn't look like an incompetent fool. He is doing an admirable job of passionately responding to the questions designed to trip him up.

You mean the 'bible' that's been quoted by the left?
I'm guessing you're right about that.......

They worked closely together when Gore-lick worked in the Justice Department as Deputy AG. They are probably personal firends.

Isn't it odd that the book isn't due to be released until when today? yesterday? Yet all the commission members had a copy of it to read beforehand. Well, at least there is not political agenda.

"I find it ridiculous that so much of the hearing prep and questions are based on books."
They go where they have to to find statements that fit their preconceived positions.

These hearings have been very lucrative to Dick Clarke. His book is #1 on Amazon.com. Pre the 60 minutes piece, it was much lower.
CBS/Viacom is getting paid for this. It would be fascinating to see what CBS tv/radio do tonight in covering the Dick Clarke testimony.
Clapping after the series of questions have been asked. Surreal!

My 1st reaction to the release of Clarke's book (and the conventional wisdom) was that it was timed to embarrass the Bushies just before the hearings.
But, the more I think about it, there was likely another intent. DISRUPT their prepararations for the hearings. Right when they would have been reviewing all their files, BAM!, this book lands in the press....and they couldn't get a copy of it until yesterday!
How much you want to bet Gorelick/Ben Veniste had advance copies?

Why was the predator video leaked a few days ago? Does anyone else believe that it was released -then- so that it wouldn't need to be dropped like a bomb on the public in the dramatic setting of these hearings?
The Democrats couldn't lie about it because the video could be leaked or declassified afterward and that would have been major damage to them.
The left also gets the benefit of making it look like it was leaked by Republicans.
