"Asked if Commission Chairman Thomas Kean or Vice Chairman Lee Hamilton were concerned that Clarke would be using his appearance to help publicize his book, Felzenberg said, "I don't know what to say about that."

I do,another RAT media whore looking to capitalize on his less than distinguished service in Government.

Probably the most important commision in the history of our country and the Democrats are manipulating it for political gain. Clarke's testimony will coincide with what he wrote in his book. Next, we will see selective parts of the 9/11 commision's work leaked to the press. Of course, the parts that are leaked will paint Bush in a negative light and will somehow coincide with Clarke's testimony. But, the press will report it as follows: "Today, information from the 9/11 commision would seem to back up charges that President Bush did little to prevent the 9/11 attacks. CBSABCNBCCNN has obtained confidential parts of the 9/11 commision's report. . . ." Nevermind that it will merely be a repeat of the Clarke book as expressed by Clarke in his testimony to the 9/11 panel.

Clarke's work of fiction was originally scheduled to come out in the latter part of April. They pushed up the release date to coincide with the hearings.

Bottom scrapers.

Can anyone please tell me what Richard Ben-Veniste is doing on this commission?

If scumbags like him are on this commission, I wouldn't trust it as far as I could throw it.

Or maybe he is there as legal advisor, which is still not a very comforting fact.

Kerry requests book on Iraq by ex-Bush official
By Patrick Healy, Globe Staff, 3/22/2004

KETCHUM, Idaho -- Adding to his vacation reading list of historical biographies and award-winning fiction, John F. Kerry asked to see sections of a new book by a former White House counterterrorism chief that accuses the Bush administration of trying to falsely link Iraq to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, the senator said yesterday.

Passing by reporters as he prepared for a third day of snowboarding and skiing at the Sun Valley resort here, the presumptive Democratic nominee was circumspect when asked about author Richard A. Clarke's criticisms of Bush, including Clarke's contention that Bush personally pressured him to supply evidence that Iraq played a role in the 2001 attacks.

"I've asked for -- several chapters are being FedEx'd out to me here," Kerry said. "I would like to read them before I make any comment. They should be getting here tomorrow, I hope."
