I was trying to roughly delineate between the physical world, rocks, air, water, etc., and the spiritual world - if there is one. The spiritual world - call it heaven or hell, whatever - is invisible, and possibly non-existant. The real world, well, I just ate a little bit of it a few minutes ago and washed it down with a Coke. I'd say you are right that reality is the metaphysical basis for everything, not just values. It is a tautology. It is because it is. The question is, what is it? Where's Clinton when you need him?

Reality is that which exists in the material universe, it is what is.
