Why do they hate President Bush?

Posted on 03/22/2004 10:45:11 AM PST by HankReardon

Seems like a simple question. The people I talk to cannot tell me why they hate him. And I think it is hate, they use words and phrases like "his daddy" and "bushies" in a very demeaning way. Also, some one asked me, why do they hate Bush, I did not know how to answer. I mean, the same people that can unconditionally love a President who tried to fix a U.S. court case against an American citizen are the often the same people who hate Bush. The same people who can for decades excuse a U.S. Senator for vehicle homicide while driving under the influence of alcohol are often the same people that hate Bush. How does President Bush merit this hatred?

You are wrong. I'll agree to that.

SEVERAL years ago I had my own cleaning business and I had a lot of older people some that I keeped AS FRIENDS after I quit the business , one lady was my favorite and I would help her out as a friend she was a democrat but I loved her anyway she got real sick but she got better and they sent her home, and I would take her shopping and help her with her evryday things but she no longer was the nice lady that I knew ,she was hateful to everybody, the last time I seen her she sayed she hated GWB and I asked her why ,she didnt answer me I think the old timers are way to hardheaded to see the truth ,and when you throw in flustration and senility you got a person that nobody wants to be around, its to bad I loved her company.

That's funny, my bro-in-law's grandma was ~98 when she died a few years ago. She was pretty sharp and a pistol most of the time; I liked her. However, she was a dyed-in-the-wool Demmie. As some are saying here they hate Bush, Gramma was saying she loved Clinton. Talk about incomprehensible! You had to question her abilities when that came up! ;-D

I have a sister who has a homosexual son (her only child). They are just as you describe. But they don't just hate Bush; they seem to have come to hate almost anyone who is decent and honest. Certainly, they automatically hate anyone who is sincerely religious; I have had to ask my sister not to regale me with any more nasty comments about Christians, conservatives, or straight men. I used to cringe whenever I got a phone call from her. My request made her very angry.

Their twin reference points seem to have become bitter feminism and militant homosexuality. They truly believe dreadful things about good and honest people (nasty and vicious smears and rumors straight from the gay-bar rumor mill). Lately, I see a growing kernel of evil in my sister and her son, and it concerns me a lot. They are two people who desperately need God.

"At their core, leftists are pathological narcissists, one of the traits of which is a "boundless repressed rage" for those who thwart their whims. Since the wholesale liberal infiltration of many of society's institutions such as the schools and the media, the need to repress that rage to function in society has greatly diminished. They have been told it is alright to hate certain catagories of people and individuals."

"On top of that, that W is basically a decent guy only enrages them further."

"Their hatred is a deep pathology at work, welling up from the core of their being (I hesitate to say soul in this case) in a manner that is so immediate and intense that they need not be able to explain or articulate it for they so powerfully feel it to be true."

Thank you for this information. I see my nephew in this, and his mother as an enabler" (See my earlier post).

Early on, his critics thought he'd be out of his league as President. Instead, his accomplishments have proven them not just wrong, but that he's been more successful than than they've been themselves. They cannot tolerate that someone they portrayed as a simpleton and a fool was able to run rings around them. Plus, he's shown a mutual respect and admiration for the military that his critics' hero, Bill Clinton, never had. And they hate him for it.

I really don't think that's it, the President's father and Reagan didn't evoke the same emotions. It has to do with the fact that he is a Christian and they hate the religious.

Your memory is different from mine. My memories of the 1980s are filled with people calling Ronald Reagan a Nazi over and over again.

I also, am very proud to know enough about the Truth of Bill Clinton to hate him, he betrayed all Americans. He betrayed the trust of our honored dead who have risked and sometimes given their limbs and lives for this nation. Yeah, put me down in the "hate Clinton column." Was it proper to hate Benedict Arnold? Was it proper to hate the Rosenburgs? This man was a President!

Who am I referring to as they? Anyone and everyone who wants to hate president Bush. I suspect you may qualify. I think to find a way to know what illegals are here, where they are, and what they are doing would be a good thing. No doubt, there would be no such thing as a perfect program for it.

Republicans believe in limited government, I believe the recent expansion of government to protect and defend can be eliminated when necessary, there must be an outcry from the grassroots, but as long as the party of limited government is in power, it can happen. And there is NO outsourcing of jobs crisis, it's a campaign issue for the Democrats. .03% of employment offered by American businesses are in foreign nations. Over 6,400,000 Americans here are employed by foreign businesses. The Dems are creating an issue they think will work and nourish the hatred for Bush we are talking about here.

They despise him because he's a practising CHRISTIAN adult male who knows right from wrong and has brought back class and DIGNITUDE to our White House....AND he knew great Capable Adults to run our government.

For spending money like a Democrat and expanding government like FDR. For throwing the gates open to illegal aliens and letting Vicente Fox have his way with the U.S. Those are decent starting points. Of course, it may depend on whom you are referring to as they. 64 posted on 03/22/2004 11:29:55 AM PST by StoneColdGOP (McClintock - In Your Heart, You Know He's Right Somebody left the basement door unlocked again, and we've got company coming over.

Always remember to lock the basement door. We don't want S-C-GOP out and about when we've got company coming over.

I'd say you are right that reality is the metaphysical basis for everything, not just values. It is a tautology. It is because it is. The question is, what is it? ,

Reality is that which exists in the material universe, it is what is.
