Matt Reilly, also known as 'harpseal' on Free Republic, died on March 19, 2004.
His friend Eileen is making arrangements for a Memorial service at the local VA.
Matt was a former Navy SEAL, a keen businessman, a friend to his Walker Hound, and an accomplished sailor.
He was also my friend and my business partner. I can't barely see the keyboard through my tears. He will be missed greatly.

I am so sorry Laz. I remember when I first started on Freepers..you, Harpseal, Jeff Head. I am saddened to read that he has passed.

He and I did not correspond much until the past year. I greatly enjoyed his posts and his patience. This is a severe loss both personally and to the FR community. May God bless his family and friends, and me his soul rest in peace in the good hands of Jesus Christ, our Lord, who died for our sins so that we might accept Him as our personal Savior, and might find eternal light and life. Alpha and Omega, ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Amen.

Laz, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of another Brother. I did not know that you and he were business partners so I know that your pain holds no bounds.
I first met Matt after Clinton's gun ban went into effect. There was a site that sent out emails under the name "sunsetheban" about 8 years ago.
Matt and I emailed pretty regularly over the years and we have all lost a great friend.
My sympathy and prayers go out to you.
