This is going to be a stump speech!

These are the kind I love!

The Bush Rally was on CSpan and at the end they said it would be re-aired. I don't know what time. Since they have been airing Kerry's and other Dems rally's over and over and over again, they should show the Bush rally several times today and Sunday.

IT WAS GREAT!!

The Prez had some Kerry zingers. He said Kerry has said he has gotten some endorsements overseas, but will not say who. Bush said he had some good news, he would be keeping his campaign in America. HeeHee

Kerry voted against the child tax credit, elimination of the marriage penalty , tax decrease for working Americans.......etc. Kerry has trouble lowering taxes, but has no trouble voting for tax INCREASES since he has voted 350 times for tax increases in his career.

Kerry voted AGAINST the $87B appropriation for our soldiers and in fact now says "in fact, I did vote for the 87B before I voted against it". HeeHeeHee!!~!

I know Sammy Hagar is a Bush supporter because he's given to his campaign so appropriate they're playing "Right Now".

That would be in contrast to David Lee Roth's version of "I'm Just A Gigolo", Kerry's theme song.

apparently it was a rumor...

Billy Ray Cyrus Dispels Anti-Bush Rumor

(LAUNCH, 02/06/2001 4:00 PM)

By Craig Rosen

(2/6/01, 4 p.m. ET) -- Word spread on the Internet last week that staunch Democrat Billy Ray Cyrus asked the Republican party to stop using his working-man's anthem "We The People" as the official theme song for the George W. Bush presidential campaign.

According to Cyrus himself, that couldn't be further from the truth. "I was proud to have my song used during the campaign," said Cyrus from the set of his new TV series, Doc, in Toronto. "I am very proud of our new president, and I hope he uses the song again for the next election. It's time for our country to unite as one, which is what's always made us a great nation. We need to put the election behind us and look to the future."

Do you have any link on Hagar letting Bush use his song?

What was the Dallas Cowboy remark about?

just before that GWB welcomed former Pittsburgh Steeler Lynne Swan, who was there to support him. He thanked him but was saying how he might not want to take him to Dallas because of how the Cowboy fans might react.

Sammy Hagar From Election Day 2000:

Sammy Hagar Examines Presidential Candidates
(LAUNCH, 11/06/2000 5:00 PM)

By Craig Rosen

(11/6/00, 5 p.m. ET) - Sammy Hagar has a new record out and a tour that kicks off in Cave Creek, Arizona, on Saturday (November 11), but he's got other things on his mind these days. Like most Americans, he's been keeping his eye on the presidential race, and he shared his outlook with LAUNCH.

"My thoughts are that they should, like, not have an election this year," he laughed. "They should find a couple of new guys. I really don't care for either one of these guys. I'm not sure that Nader would make a great president, but he would be a more honest politician."

Hagar went on to talk about the man he feels was the last honest politician to become president. "Jimmy Carter, who, in my opinion, was one of the most honest presidents around--I didn't vote for him, but after seeing the term, and seeing what he's done with his life since then--this man really does do public service," he said. "He's a great human being--but he was a lousy president."

Hagar thinks Texas Governor George W. Bush is lacking in some of the essential qualities needed to be president. "It's really tough to run this country. I think you've got to be charismatic, have a lot of pull," he said. "Like a Lyndon Johnson. If it wouldn't have been for those times, he probably would've made a great president, because he was so smart and he had so much power within the political system. I don't think Bush has that."

Hagar was even more vocal about what he sees as the shortcomings of Vice President Al Gore. "Gore certainly doesn't have the charisma and the power. I mean, if he walked in a room, 'Here's what we're gonna do. . .' I'd just look at him, you know what I mean? I mean, he's not intimidating. He's not a strong character. He's got good morals, he's for good policies, I think."

Finally, Hagar told LAUNCH who his ideal candidate would be. "It's a tough one, man. Right now, I'd vote for Bruce Springsteen over those guys."

Hey! That is my sign! LOL!

I didn't think anyone saved that!

When we were at the inaugural, several people came into our office just to give us a thumbs up on that sign.

We covered our normal business signs and had that up for a week. You can't tell by the photo but it was 4 ft. x 8 ft.

hanoi john hot footed it to DC on March 10th to vote for a $1.8 Billion tax HIKE. It's posted somewhere down threads. Human Events article. RATS tried for about 14 tax hikes, Pubies killed them.

Dubya needs to make that into a campaign commercial. Something along the line of:

"Senator Kerry is working very hard to get elected. In fact he missed XXX days of the past X congressional sessions, and missed XX votes. He did however, show up to vote on March 10th to raise taxes. That shows his committment to the idea of taking MORE of your money!"

I found this in a bio page of Billy Ray Cyrus

Born in a very small Kentucky town, Billy Ray's father was Ronald Ray Cyrus, who served over 20 years in the state legislature. His grandfather was a Pentecostal minister; his great-grandfather was the sheriff. When Billy Ray was six, his parents divorced and he and his older brother Kevin lived with their mother. Billy Ray began singing gospel in church with his grandfather before he had even started school. At Georgetown College in Kentucky, he played baseball but his desired dream of a pro baseball career didn't pan out. Instead, he picked up a guitar and started a band. After moving to Los Angeles to sing, he hit hard times and became a car salesman. He sold cars at Guy Martin Oldsmob

BTW some friends of ours grew up in the same town as Billy Ray and went to school with him

OK, so someone posted an article dispelling the myth that Cyrus was unhappy with Bush using his song in 2000, but I did read that article. Now, that's an interesting article in regards to Sammy Hagar. Someone on FR listed campaign contributers for Bush this yr. and Sammy Hagar, musician, was one of them. Is that the same Sammy Hagar? I'd hope they'd be wise enough to use music by someone who is supportive. That would fit with Sammy being a contributer. Brooks and Dunn sang at the GOP convention in 2000 and it fits the campaign is playing their "Only in America".

Great sign! 1/20/01 was my little boy's first birthday -- with a beautiful red, white and blue theme with lots of stars and stripes. It put democrat family members out a bit and I'm definitely hoping to do it again next year....
