Welcome, everyone to the 10th Troop Prayer Thread! Today is the anniversary of the resumption of hostilities with Iraq, wherein our troops have made military history that shall ring down the centuries.
The troop prayer threads are dedicated to giving our troops, allies, and all who are serving the Holy Cause of Freedom, including (but not limited to) the families and loved ones waiting at home and those who are not in uniform but who are serving in dangerous situations supporting our troops and gathering intelligence spiritual support. We seek together to offer prayer, scriptures, encouraging messages, and other devotions dedicated to this purpose.
We have over the past year gathered together a prayer list of these servants of freedom. You will find it posted below. FReeper amom has been serving as our List Keeper this past year and I wish to thank and commend her for doing such a meticulous job of keeping it updated. She has also been keeping our ping list up to date. If you wish to submit a name for the prayer list or to add or take off a name from the ping list, please let either or both of us know.
For those of us who have somewhat limited computer capacity, or still have phone modems, we request that graphics be limited to pictures of loved ones for whom we are offering prayers, special visuals that seem particularly appropriate, and as much as possible, non-moving graphics. Thank you.
Thank you so much for spiritually supporting our troops, allies, support civilians, and their families.
We are grateful to God that for those who have been injured or taken back Home, He has dispatched angels to their care.

BLESSED FATHER IN HEAVEN,
We come before you with urgency in our hearts and minds. We have been informed that there have been threats made against the young men and women and the faculty and staff of our Air Force Academy. We know that you have everything under your watchful eye, but we are also mindful of the admonition that the prayers of a righteous man (or woman!) availeth much!
We petition you for the assignment of teams of angels to go to that location! Expose to those who are in positions of authority the ones who have made such a disruptive and sinister threat against those who are among the finest of our nation. Father, protect not only the ones who have been threatened, but also the ones who have taken up their positions and the mission to protect the Academy.
We call forth your comforting hand to ease the hearts of the families of those who have been threatened or are somehow involved in the security of the situation.
Father, the people of our nation have begun the sacred process of voting for the offices which need to be filled in our government. We as a nation have been threatened, just as the Academy has been. We have received the sleazy blackmail cloaked in serpentine reasonableness from the mouth of the confessed 9/11 murderer Osama Bin Laden. Father, we ask that you will reach into the hearts, minds, and souls of our fellow countrymen and grant them wisdom and courage in the face of his threats.
Father, we ask that you will expose to those in authority the location of this one who has finally seen fit to crawl out from under the rock he has been under for the last several months. We ask that you will guide the disposition of this one who has so aligned himself with Evil. It is yours to judge, our beloved Father, and we lovingly ratify that judgement.
We ask that you will expose to the proper authorities any and all genuine threats against our nation, especially those things which threaten our electoral process. Shatter any and all attempts to manipulate or steal or threaten our voting process. Shatter and bring to nothing the efforts of evil ones to intimidate the heart and soul of our people.
Father, guide our people and give them wisdom during this election process. We commend that process into your hands and keeping, for you are truly our only strength and refuge. We invoke miracles of protection, wisdom, and grace for this nation. We know that we are your children and you love us. We know that when we ask for the bread of granting this nation your highest divine Will, you will not give us a stone.
Father, let all of this which we have prayed for be adjusted by thy Grace and Will. We would not pray amiss. If we have inadvertantly done so, please forgive us and supply the lack.

All Clear has been sounded!
The USAFA Threat condition has been lowered. Evidently a lone unstable individual known to the Academy Security Forces and who was a considered direct threat (known to carry weapons), threatened a bombing of the Cadet Chapel.
That threat has been neutralized although I have no further details (arrest?) however the threat level and movement restrictions have been lifted.
Cadet's are now allowed free movement on campus and off campus privileges have been restored.

He son was in a car accident. He is ok; but a little more than banged up.

CALL TO PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS IN FALLUJAH!
MERCIFUL FATHER IN HEAVEN,
We are watching our tv sets and seeing our young heroes go into a major battle in Fallujah. We confess that so many of us have worried hearts and fear for their safety. Father, take from us that worry and and fear. Grant us your all-encompassing Peace and Faith that you have all in your hands. In the quietness of our communion with you we commend into your hands and keeping these precious young people who are fighting for such multiple and worthy Causes.
Father, we ask that as we watch the battle unfold by the miracle of television, that you will surround us with harmony and calmness. Take us to those places in Spirit, and let us join the angels in some way for the purpose of clearing the way before them so they may forge a mighty Victory. We continue to hold vigil and we petition you for miracles of protection, mercy, courage, faith, wisdom, and hope to be granted to our troops, to those who wait, and for a nation who watches in awe at the beauty and steadfastness of the magnificent young people you have called to serve. We owe them and the veterans who came before them everything. Father, grant them unlimited extraordinary blessings in return.
We praise you Father, for you have always been at our side when we need you. We praise you for raising up a nation of liberators. We praise you for sending to us heroes worthy of the greatest honors. We praise you that these heroes, if one names them as such to their face have humility and discount it as "just doing my job." Father, we praise you for stirring into action the good people of this nation earlier this week, who went out and used the right to vote won by our heroes, to make a clear statement of their love of your Higher Laws. We praise you and express to you our deepest gratitude.
