This was waiting for me in my Inbox this morning. If I didn't resent body odor and Patchouli Oil as much as I resent ignorant groupthink, I might attend...

19 March 2004, Friday @ 6:00pm:
Williamsburg Procession & Vigil for Peace:
In solidarity with actions to be held all over the world, on the anniversary of elevated hostilities in Iraq, we will gather at the Wesley Foundation and process to College Corner (confluence of Jamestown, Richmond, Duke of Gloucester, and N. & S. Boundary Streets, a.k.a. "Confusion Corner") to mourn for the pain, loss, & suffering of all concerned; vigil for the well-being & safety of all individuals, and pray for the non-violent resolution of conflict between all peoples.
Time for silent reflection, as well as time to address those gathered, will be included; candles & signs in support of our troops and the promotion of peace will be most welcomed.
Heh heh heh, this could be fun! I guess I have a little different interpretation of "promotion of peace" than these flakes do. Signs like "Iraq War = Iraq Peace" or "Wage War for Peace" would have to be welcome, wouldn't they?

If you all have any friends, relatives, etc. in the area, let 'em know...maybe some one could whip up a "bake sale" to sell refreshments! I'm sure President Sullivan would appreciate that!

I would love to challenge these freaks on their basic contention that peace is always a preferable alternative. How about "Why Peace?" or "Peace = Dead Iraqis"? They would fry their notochords if they had the capacity to think about things beyond the touchy-feely surface.

I know Williamsburg is a little far for you guys to show up tonight, but I'm seeking ideas for sign slogans so any Freepers showing up will be able to fully participate by waving their signs that "promote peace".

Since it's in Williamsburg, how about a photo of Washington in military garb with the words
Only Freedom brings Peace

There sure is a lot of "peace" in Kosovo right now isn't there? Bubba and the Mad One armed terrorists and ordered troops to fight on THEIR side. Good going Bubba, Mad....and Wussley.

How about "WCC 'Peace' Kills Millions"? or "What's Peaceful About a Million Dead?" or "We TRIED Peace. Millions died." or "Want Peace? Tell Your FRIENDS to STOP KILLING US"

Great! If you're not doing anything later this afternoon, come on down, grab a bite at the Trellis or Season's, and have fun with the idiots...
