This is a very good speech!!

Naming all the countries who are helping and have sacrificed with their lives to defend their country and the Iraqi people.
Brilliant move.

It's his answer to the dem mantra of "we're bogged down" and their claim that Iraq and Afghanistan are in a mess.
"We will not let the people of Iraq down"
Listing our Coaliton of the Willing who have suffered losses.
"We honor their sacrifice"

The President looks and sounds remarkably good considering the sheer load of the world he has had to carry the last three years. Terrorists keep coming at him from outside the US and detractors from within and he stands strong. He's still got my vote.

More from Bush: "Who would begrudge the Iraqi people their long awaited liberation?...every soldier that has fought, every aid worker that has served...can look with pride...on this historic achievement. They served in freedom's cost and that is a priviledge.
Listing the contributions of Poland, Japan, El Salvador, Macedonia,
"All of these nations and many others are meeeting their responsibilities towards the people of Iraq...every nation has an interest in a free, stable Iraq...for them (terrorists) the connection of Iraq's future in the war on terror is very clear; they understand a free Iraq will be a devestating setback towards their ambitions of tyrrany in the ME...the terrorists are trying to weaken our will. Instead of weakness they're finding resolve.
"Not long ago we intercepted the planning document to leaders of Al Queda...along with their usual threats he had a complaint; our armies are growing stronger and our intelligence data increasing day by day; this is sufforcation. We will not fail the Iraqi people...whatever it takes we'll fight to ensure the success of Iraq.
"Many coalition countries have sacrificed in Afghanistan and Iraq (names many nations including France and Spain, UK and US).
"We honor their courage...we uphold the cause they serve. THe rise of democratic institutions...is a great step...
"We've set out to break the cycle of bitterness and radicalism that has brought stagnation to the region (para)...this task is historic and difficult. This task is necessary and worthy of our efforts."

No wonder Kerry's taking the week off. Snowboarding, relaxing in another man's manse while World War III is announced.
Typical.

Powerful image...naming all of the countries, one by one, who are assisting in the WOT. Kudos, America!

It links to Cheney's chastisement of Kerry's contempt for our brave Coalition partners.
They deserve better, such as our President has just demonstrated.

And he'll appreciate that vote.
He isn't perfect, and he'd be the first to admit that. But we aren't electing perfection, any more than we can marry it or be perfect ourselves. Much as we try:-)

NCAA Basketball Tournament -- CBS would not have cut away to the speech like they are now. During the day he can get network coverage -- at night forget some of them.

President Bush's speech: "The free establishment of Iraq is our fight, the war on terror is our fight. All of us are called on to share the blessings of liberty..it will surely be said of our times we live with great challenges. Let it also be said we had great duties and met them in full.
"May God bless our efforts."
END!

Definitely, cyn.
Who can help but think how Kerry "pretends" we are alone and don't have allies when the president lists those countries who are not only helping, but have lost young men and women on the battlefield?
For Kerry to denigrate soldiers from ANY country is a disgrace.

Reading words from the diary of a Japanese man who was killed in an ambush.
His words were so eloquent and lauded the aims of the troops.
When we get the transcript we can review the words of this good and brave man.
"May God bless our efforts"
Applause.
