More from Bush: "These killers will be tracked down and found. They'll face their day of justice...
"...we gave the Taliban a choice; to abandon forever their support of terror or face the destruction of their regime. Because the Taliban chose defiance, our coalition acted to remove this threat and now the terror camps are closed. The government of a free Afghanistan is represented here today as a partner in the war on terror..."
Citizens of Afganistan have adopted a new constitution guaranteeing free election and participation by women...businesses are opening, health care centers are being established, and the children of Afghanistan are back in school, boys and girls. Progress is a tribute to the Afghan people...
"Today that nation has a democratic government and many allies, and all of us are proud to be friends of hte Afghan people...One year ago military forces of a strong coalition entered Iraq to enforce the UN demands, to defend our security, to liberate that country from the rule of a tyrant. For Iraq its a day of deliverance...today as Iraqis join the free peoples of the world it will mark a turning point in the middle east.
"There have been disagreements...among old and valued friends. THose differences belong in the past..."

I mean he is leaving absolutely no room for negotiation or the idea that we can work with these people. That is exactly what he said. No negotiation or accomodation or reasoning will work.

This is on the radio. Must easier to multi-task with that than TV. "It is a good thing...Iraq giving glimpse of life in a free country..."
To: cyncooper

"These terrorists will be hunted and tracked down and will see their day of justice."
I just clicked to our local news and it shows shots of police cordoning off streets in San FRancisco and preparing for the anti-war nudniks protest today
the domestic left in the streets .. more proof that not all terrorists come from overseas, imo

With a bit of luck, there will be another announcement before the day's over.
To: cyncooper
This should be called the Martha Stewart speech.
"It's a good thing."

I think the reason it drives me nuts is because it reminds me of Carter.

You my friend are going to start a flame war. I am a stay home mom. I never watch soap operas - I don't have time to "sit down, watch soaps, and eat bon bons" I take care of my 3 young children. I have Foxnews on all day on my upstairs TV incase something big in the news happens. I have just now sat down for 10 mins since my 8mo old is taking a nap, I have not rested or sat down since 7 am. I joke with my huband that all he does is sit in a cube infront of a computer all day and my work is much more strenous, yet he gets paid.

#43 pulled. On live threads, best to avoid hot-linking images, especially large ones.
Thanks.

This should be called the Martha Stewart speech. "It's a good thing." That's what I thought... he's connecting with soccer moms.

We need to stop letting the leftists decide what names to give their groups.
For example, they aren't anti-war protestors - they are dictator supporting leftists.
They aren't pro-choice. They are abortion supporters.
They aren't the "party of tolerance". They are the party of hate.
