March 19, 2004 -- **BREAKING** WinterSoldier.com has obtained solid evidence that John Kerry continued to represent the VVAW well after the infamous November 12-15 1971 meeting at which that organization voted on whether to commit political assassinations. See our new "So when did John Kerry leave the VVAW, anyway?" links in the Documents, Film Clips, Audio and Cartoons section.
For example, the New York Times identified Kerry as "spokesman for Vietnam Veterans Against the War" in this article on January 11, 1972. In fact, as late as April 22, 1972, Kerry was still being identified in press reports as a "leader of the Vietnam Veterans Against the War."
Senator Kerry says he quit the VVAW sometime before November 12, 1971.
Senator Kerry has some explaining to do.

I want to read more about this speech.Kerry is caling VN, "Nixon's war." Nixon took office in 1969. SOD McNamara wrote a mia culpa, explaining all the mistakes he made while serving under Johnson. Kerry is dispicable. OBTW In 1972 Nixon won one of the biggest landslide victories in Presidential history.

More Republican attack politics...aka the truth about the libs! That's right, kids, and the hits just keep on coming.
Here's a nice piece on the December 1971 VVAW takeover of the Statue of Liberty

ping me to the new NY Sun article tomorrow if you post it. I must be stupid, as the headline on the one the other day said there was a new witness, but I didn't see any new names. But, if he has 8 now, there will definitely be new names in that article.

I want this to be true, but perhaps the writers in both articles who identified him as a member of the group performed sloppy journalism. Maybe they should have called him former member or leader. Still, it raises some more doubts. Show us the dental records.

Tom says more on Kerry's early years is coming out in tomorrow's Sun. Sorry to be nit-picky, but I think you spelled "moron" wrong.

You're not stupid. It was written in a confusing way.
The first Lipscomb article in the Sun had two, then the next day the Kansas City reporter found a third, so that's what Lipscomb was referring to as the "new" witness.

Thanks for finding this out. I was wondering earlier this evening if you and your army of researchers had turned anything up showing that Kerry didn't cut his links.
Now I wonder what may come of this if it is proven that Kerry was in the meetings when the assassination planning took place.

From the 2nd article:
Antiwar protesters in New York planned a mile-long march from the edge of Central Park to Bryant Park in mid-Manhattan for a rally featuring speeches by John Kerry, a leader of the Vietnam Veterans Against the War and Sen. Mike Gravel, D-Alaska.Did this rally ever take place? Can we get more info or photos?

I think the new person may be Nicosia...I can't remember if the article from the other day mentioned him as a new person saying Kerry was there or not, but I think he is a new person, not a witness per se, but now we have three witnesses plus Nicosia, with incredibly...documents proving Kerry was there...Wow.

Kerry went ahead and debated Bill Buckley, Jr., on Firing Line as a VVAW representative, mere days after the Kansas City meeting. Odd for a man who had just resigned from an organization in disgust.
On January 11, AP identifies him as "head of Vietnam Veterans Against the War." The NYT identifies him as a spokesman for the organization the next day. No complaints so far from Kerry. January 26, he's back in the NYT as "a leader of Vietnam Veterans Against the War." April 26, AP still has Kerry as a "leader" of the VVAW.
Sounds like more than 2 articles to me.
To: cyncooper
Ah.
To: doug from upland
True. A newspaper article is evidence (when both say he is a spokesman especially), but not proof. They may not have realized he resigned.
To: Interesting Times
Now that is pretty strong stuff. Does wintersoldier.com mention the Firing Line appearance or did you get that elsewhere?
To: Interesting Times
thank you for finding and sharing Bump!

Did this rally ever take place? Can we get more info or photos? It was a big coalition protest. Here's a link to an ad on WinterSoldier.com
