You might want to check whitehouse.gov they usually post the transcripts of speeches by the president and vice president.

It was really very devastating Yes it was. I thought he started a bit slow with the same old, same old (even as I agree with him). When he got face to face with Kerry's record and statements though it was nothing short of devastating. The Vice President has finally framed the debate and Kerry, in addition to all of his other failings, looks petty and ill equipped.

Kerry's answer to this:
"The Bush Administration has no policy so they just attack me personally. The Republican Attack Machine is fueled with money from Big Oil and Cheney's Haliburton so they can't stand hearing the truth from me! Well, I say, let them attack! Bring them on!! I am going to be out there telling the truth no matter what they say!!!"
That response (along with the full tape of Kerry in his own words saying it) - rather than Cheney's speech - is what will be played on all the major networks tonight, including the cables, including FOX.
In other words, Kerry will not answer a single charge (he can't). He will just attack and the media will suck it all up and play it. They will give a 20 second video tape of Cheney giving this speech, but will voice over his words with their own interpretation of them and then play Kerry's longer rejoinder.
Take it to the bank. This is how they will play this.

It was an awesome speech. I'm just finishing it on TiVo right now. I hope a transcript is soon available - this is a great one!

Proud member of The R.A.M....formerly known as VRWC
Missed the speech. Just catching up. Sounds like I missed a great speech
Do you have to officially convert your membership from VRWC to R.A.M. or is it done autimatically by the RNC? I hope R.A.M. recognizes my decoder ring and secret handshake. LOL

As I told my brother-in-law..."THIS speech will get me all the way to November...I don't care what the Dems do or say now." Cheney's speech is good until Kerry is out of the running. That might be November, but he'll have a hard time making a lucid rebuttal to the points Cheney made in his speech. Kerry might conclude that he has no chance of winning. For the good of the DEM party, he'd step aside.
Not to say that will happen, but I see it as a reasonable possibility.

Matthews has consistently been against the war because he felt it was at Israel's behest.
He has said numerous times that Israel should have fought their own war against Iraq.
