Good reason to abandon the silly notion of this boycott.

My heart stopped for a moment when I saw the Jack Daniels lable. Since it is only the sauce I can do this.

Good Idea.

This idea really doesn't make much sense. Remember when Domino's pizza was banned from the WH b/c of Monihan's support of pro-life groups. Mrs. Heinz has her loot. Your boycot isn't going to make her poorer. But, if you are going to start boycots like this you better start with your computer. Both Gates of Micro$oft and Jobs of Apple are both big Dem donors.

McDonalds owns Boston Market. http://finance.yahoo.com/q/pr?s=mcd
Carlson Restaurants Worldwide owns Fridays http://www.tgifridays.com/News/crw_bg.htm

Heinz supplies both with condiments and other products in the same way Goodyear supplies tires to General Motors.

If you want to be taken seriously don't state your ASSUMPTIONS as FACTS

The only stuff from that list I bought was the ketchup. The other stuff tends to be rather over priced.

I have been pondering boycotting their products for a while now, myself. Why would I want to further the cause of communism by buying their crap and adding money to their campaign to turn us all into good little Government-owned serfs?

Be sure to boycott this, too. Makes about as much sense.

You folks in Nebraska will want to avoid Kerry's Bar and Grill. If you're in Kentucky, boycott Teresa's Restaurant. And if you really want to demonstrate how patriotic you are, boycott Hillary's Antiques.

Me neither, I guess I'm already boycotting Heinz.

Just returned last night from road trip. San Fran - Las Vegas and back. Was served Heinz ketchup at several times.

Am hoping that Registered will make us a new Heinz label that we can print out and take with us to restaurants to cover the Heinz labels - something like HEINZ - 57 Varities of Flip-Flops or HEINZ-KERRY 57 different sides to every issue. Same label colors, etc.

Ideas, anyone?

Easy choice! Jack Daniels is only good for removing rust from junk.

Boycotting Heinz will be easy. There's loads of superior products that aren't tied in with Heinz.

Why, we can even make John Kerry lead by example!

Don't understand. To me, Del Monte or the store brands taste the same. Don't support the Heinz dynasty!

That's a GREAT idea! Then maybe the plant in Holland, Michigan will announce layoffs as did the Johnson Controls plant last evening. We can lose more manufacturing jobs. Great idea. I'll start working on sabotaging my local economy ASAP.

According to Heinz, a significant number of factorys are located OUTSIDE of the US.

Choose not to boycott if you like, I am choosing to boycott.

I'm not surprised by that. Shall we cut off our nose to spite our face? I live in a heavily Republican area in a state that often sends delegates to the electoral college for the Democrat candidate. Many of the people who work there are poor and most are solidly Democrat and most of them don't vote unless they felt very, very strongly about it. One sure way to energize them to vote is to effect their jobs. My guess is that many of the people who work in the various Heinz factories that *are* in the US are the same way.

If we want Bush to take Michigan's electoral votes we can't be playing petty games. It may feel good to snub you nose at Ketchup boy's "family" business, but in the end it's counter-productive.

I don't understand the Del Monte/Heinz baby food thing. I know that the jars that had the Heinz label now have the same label but it says Del Monte. As far as ketchup, we like Red Gold.
