WASHINGTON (CNN) -- This week's deadly train bombings in Spain will not lead to a rise in the U.S. color-coded terror threat alert system, a Department of Homeland Security spokesman said Friday.
"Based on the current intelligence, we have no specific indicators that terrorist groups are considering such an attack in the U.S. in the near term," said department spokesman Brian Roehrkasse.

The Pine, Az fire is now 2,200 acres, cause still unknown.
The Gila Bend fire is still out of control, Burning in the Gila River bottom. Cause unknown.
As per Kingman radio, at 1 PM, on KAAA.
Gila Bend, is on I-8, about half way between Yuma and Phoenix.
We are now expecting rain tonight from the west coast and the wind is blowing 35 MPH, steady, (per radio and the banging going on out doors.)
An out of control fire in the Gila River bottom, could burn for over 100 miles, that is the distance that I knew, walked and studied in the 1970's.
It is thick with the Salt Cedar tree/shrub, and so much undergrowth, that the largest Caterpillars are used to keep the center channel open for the water flow.
Rattlesnakes, as large as a mans thigh, Bill saw them, I have seen the tracks........
Mountain Lions, with paw prints in the sand, as large as a dinner plate.......and a half grown one that raced the truck for several miles, just to prove how fast he could run.
They sound like a Siamese cat, and yes, Ruth wandered around calling "Here Kitty" over and over.........
We were just about east of Gila Bend, in the Gila River bed, attempting to find the way to cross it, so we could go the the site that the Oatman Family and wagon train was massacred at in the 1800's. Did not get across, as we chickened out, when we reached the sandy area and saw the size of the cat and snake tracks, then when we started to leave, had the race.
The Oatman girls were later traded to the Mohave Indians and that is where the mining town of Oatman, got its name.
The Spaniards mined for Gold in the 1700's and earlier, a bit further east of Oatman Flats and there is also an Indian Newspaper Rock in the general area, it is a small rock mound in the middle of a field, covered with Indian writing.
Patton also had his training camp there, in WW2.
Ok, you might as well know the rest of the area's history, it was a good area for the TB patients in the early years of the 1900's.
It was thought that the heat/sun caused the chemicals to be released from the Creosote Bushes and that they healed TB patients.

You're absolutely correct. If the locals cannot insure safe passage for people who are there to help them, then we should not endanger our people further. IMHO they should not only go after the people who threw the grenades, but also after the ones who mutilated, celebrated and desecreated our dead. There is lots of video out there and surely these people live in that area and should be trackable. If necessary, rewards for their heads (I wish) should be given.

I wonder if we are being so tolerant of Mexico and Canada because we get such a significant portion of our petroleum imports from them?It certainly appears that way.

Thanks for updating us on your sister's progress. Believe me we do care. Also glad to hear she is more upbeat - because fear does nothing to help her situation and positive attitude can only help her get through it better. My continued prayers going out for her and for you cabal, because I know it is very stressful for you as well.

Sorry to hear the fire season is getting into full swing so early. We're expecting rain and snow tonight.

We need to kick some jihad butts in Iraq!!!! If kicking leaves them capable of returning to do even more damage to us, then it is insufficient and much stronger deterrents must be used.

I just got home, there is nothing on the LA afternoon news right now.
And, I don't see any updates on that thread either. So, guessing they got it fixed.

I understand from the blog linked below that Falujah is sort of a "Wild West" town if you know what I mean. Sounds like even Saddam couldn't keep it under control.

Matt 7:16 "Ye shall know them by their fruits"I have thought of that very scripture so many times over the last couple of years when I see the news & read the threats of these people who claim to worship God. It is very clear by their actions who they serve.

Granny I lived north of Phoenix for four years and loved the nature of the area. We had rattlesnakes and even a badger on my front door mat (it dug quite a hole behind my pretty ornamental bushes out front and Fish & Game came and relocated the little guy after flushing him out with a garden hose). Our neighbors came home to find a havalina in their yard. Nothing quite like Arizona - hope they get those fires out very soon.

Then bombs away on Falluja sounds like no big loss should our military deem it feasible (it would be only fair and just).
