"Based on the current intelligence, we have no specific indicators that terrorist groups are considering such an attack in the U.S. in the near term," said department spokesman Brian Roehrkasse.

Is Powell still in Pakistan?
MSNBC is reporting that no reporters (Pakistani or any) are not allowed in the area of operation.

Fox News reporting that it is not OBL, Zawahiri. Who ever it is Hamid Mir (Pakistani journalist) said it is non-arab fighters that are surrounded. Chechens.

Rise in Hispanics and Asian-Americans Is Predicted
By REUTERS
Published: March 18, 2004
WASHINGTON, March 17 (Reuters) The Hispanic and Asian-American populations in the United States are expected to triple by 2050, when non-Hispanic whites would account for the barest majority, according to a Census Bureau report to be released Thursday.
Hispanic-Americans would make up nearly a quarter of the nation's population at mid-century, the report says.
"This is going to be the workforce that sustains us as a nation, so we can make choices today that are dramatically going to change the outlook 20 or 30 years from now," Sonia Perez of the National Council of La Raza said Wednesday, referring to coming national elections.

only three high-value targets left important enough to generate significant excitement (Bin Laden, Zawahiri, and Omar - - and Omar is a local issue)
No earthly idea if this is yet another unfounded story, or if it has legs, but haven't heard the Pakistanis get excited about much lately.
Reminds me of movies where the good guy and the bad guy are facing each other down with each pointing a gun at the other's forehead.
Madrid should have been much larger. If those trains had managed to get into the stations . . .
Ashdod was like Pi Gilot in 2002 . . . if they had gotten closer to the chemical tanks it would have incinerated everything within a couple kilometers.
They are going for the brass ring.
