Amen. They've ran California for 46 years. They've outlasted the national Democrats who ran the House Of Representatives for 40 years.

Doug Ose. He's retiring. A moderate Republican who had intended to run for the senate, but bowed out last May.

Dunno who's pulling the strings. Not sure I'd really want to know, unless there was something I could do about it.

Here's where we stand:

55 is leading by roughly 80 thousand votes.

The significant counties still outstanding and their anticipated votes, assuming what's left tracks what's been counted are:

Alameda + 10,000
Contra Costa + 15,000
Kern - 2,000
Los Angeles + 7,000
Monterey + 2,800
Orange - 80,000
Riverside - 500
San Bernardino - Unknown, but hugely minus
San Diego - 10,000
San Joaquin - 900
Sonoma + 3,000

Bottom Line: It's going to hinge on the size of the margin in Orange and San Bernardino.

B-1 is down 84% - 16%.

I live in Orange County but I'm not in his new district. He left his district to Loretta Sanchez and went against incumbent Republican Dana Rorhrbacher. Anybody know what his rational was? I never heard or saw a campaign ad.

"anyone need any #'s"

Final Prop 55 numbers from Alameda and Contra Costa would be handy.

Last we had were at 83% and 60% respectively.

2. But I think the key may have been talk show host Tom Sullivan on one of the biggest, most influential radio stations in the area endorsing and pushing Lungren on his show yesterday and today.

Interesting . . .

Dornan seems to be in a bit of electoral trouble, and this "early" point in the count. Maybe it is time for him to carpet bomb the hostile precincts.

"Final Prop 55 numbers from Alameda and Contra Costa would be handy."

Good observation - those are the only two Northern liberal counties with substantial votes yet to be cast.

Orange is starting to come in and San Diego is leaking in but San Berdu seems to be stopped...no AM tech support I guess.

Where are you getting this info? It seems to be more recent than what I'm getting via vote2004.ss.ca.gov. Here's the latest from there:

Prop 55 - Education Bond
YES - 2,362,674 (50.6%)
