For those asking about the records...
LOTR tied with Ben Hur and West side story with 11 nominations. (Other Movies have had more nominations, like Titanic which I believe broke the nomination record with 14.)
As for wins, I am pretty dure that record goes to Ben Hur which won all 11.
Sooo, If LOTR continues winning everything it's nominated for, it will tie with Ben hur for most Oscars.

Were we talking about Mel Gibson? Surely you don't lump him in with the grubs I was referring to? I'm sure I just misunderstood your post.

Another famously unmarried couple with children for a long time was Sting & Trudy. I remember Trudy telling the story that her son came home one day complaining that the school children called him a "bastard." Trudy says she told him, "no, that would be what your father is." Then they got married a short time later. :-)
LOL!!!
To: lainie
Who knows- maybe marriage will become all the rage again.

Sandra Bullock I liked her in 'Speed', 'The Net', and 'Demolition Man'. oh yeah, neither of those were chick flicks. I haven't seen a SB chick flick yet...guess I'm lucky

Both are top two on my "So why, exactly, are these women considered attractive?" list. You must have been peeking at my list. I watched some of The Passion discussion shows last night and saw a clip of Parker on Larry King. It would take a lot of beer for me to go for her. And Roberts looks like such a phony. I'll take Penelope Cruz any day:
