Do yourself a favor tpaine, go down to mexico and start waving an American flag around, and tell all them down there how you think they should become an American state.

You'll be swinging from a tree as a pinata.

And while your down there tpaine, be sure to attend one of their soccer games, and as the crowd shout Osama, Osama, Osama at the American team, you can run up and down the the field with a bull horn and convince them they should all become good American's.

Check in when you get back, it'll be interesting to find out how you did.

I drafted this message in 'freepmail' but have decided instead to post it to the thread. Time to put up or shut up:

I don't need "fan mail."

OK, you do it, pal. Place a high-volume thread asking all freepers to read this thread, the "The Nation-State Is Finished" thread, further, in particular, asking the forum body to judge your wiewpoint of annexing Mexico VS my viewpoint that that policy is sheer lunacy, and asking each forum member to vote for the annexation or lunacy viewpoint.

That's a definite challenge. Wanna bet how it goes?

Again: Time to put up or shut up. How have you been around FR for so long and have such skewed views?

No you want to make mexico, with it's dirt poor, uneducated, unskilled, millions part of America. That makes you a touchy, feely, "we are the world", neo konservative.
Do yourself a favor tpaine, go down to mexico and start waving an American flag around, and tell all them down there how you think they should become an American state.
You'll be swinging from a tree as a pinata.

OK, you do it, pal. Place a high-volume thread asking all freepers to read this thread, the "The Nation-State Is Finished" thread,

You crack me up.. -- You want a tread like that, why don't you post it?

further, in particular, asking the forum body to judge your wiewpoint of annexing Mexico VS my viewpoint that that policy is sheer lunacy, and asking each forum member to vote for the annexation or lunacy viewpoint.

Save yourself the trouble of a new thread.. - Ping everyone and let them vote here.

That's a definite challenge. Wanna bet how it goes? Again: Time to put up or shut up. How have you been around FR for so long and have such skewed views?

Small minds find some of my views skewed.. -- But usually, because they are borderline personalities, such petty folks eventually drop away from FR or are ostracized by their peers. Your type comes & goes, and the rest of us cope.

It's easy to understand tpaine by his name sakes, "common sense" essay regarding the status of men.
According to Thomas Paine the only distinctions between humans should be natures distinction, man and woman. Economics and Royal title should not separate them. Which is one silly little communist view of man's equality, in my opinion.

Several things separate and define men, ability, ambition, language and nation, which are God given. God confused the languages, and spread humans across the planet with their own languages and sovereign nations for a reason, He wanted to protect man from the results of the kind of one world globalism that this thread discusses, and God attempted to protect all men equally.

While all individuals have God given rights, not all men appreciate or understand them, some don't even want them and prefer to be ruled without much regard as to the character of the ruler.

At the time of the Tower of Bable, all mankind was under the rule of Nimrod, there have been several would be Nimrods since then, but few in history able to rule the entire world as will the coming global dictator that this thread promises as a result of Free Trade globalism.

It is a net and a snare that we as a nation should avoid and stay out of, and one that I doubt we have the intelligence, integrity, or backbone to do. I look around in wonder at the state of "conservatism" today, and have to remind myself that God did not find ten good men in Soddom. "My people perish for lack of knowledge", and I'm doubting we have ten million patriots in the USofA, aware and willing to devote the time and effort to rally and/or petition D.C. not to sign the FTAA treaty.

Amnesty by anyother name would sour in your stomach. The taste and flavor of these personalities would have you believe butter would not melt in their mouths, but we know better. Since we all know we are dealing with "Criminal Illegal Aliens"; we must call them what they really are TERRORISTS! They are attacking our American Values by destroying the support systems we all depend on. We are at WAR and make no doubt about it, we are on the defensive here at home. It is time to grow a backbone and refuse the socialization of America and declare "OPEN SEASON " on Criminal Undocumented Illegal Aliens!

A most thoughtful post, MAPie.

If we had those ten million aware and willing activists citizens, I would rejoice. You ever listen to C-SPAN's Washington Journal? The caller lines are very polairzed, with nut-cases on one side to extremists on the other. Doesn't matter which side is which.

No I really don't listen to those kinds of entertainment news, I think I have heard all they have to say by now anyway.

They haven't had an original thought on either side in decades, lol. But I do know what you mean.

I'm all for that, even though a friend of a friend that works for Senator Hutchins informed us that mail is not a good way to get your message out because of the antrax scare.

Email is not really read, and she advised phone calls.

You ommitted placing the blame for the terrorists where it belongs.....right in the lap of our elected politicians in the federal offices, the federal courts and the White House.

They are the ones who have control of the budget, they make the decisions as to how much money each agency will receive. By having this authority they determine just how effective each agency will be.

President Bush talks a good story about protecting America. If he had just asked the Border Patrol administration how much money does it require for them to seal our borders for one year? How long will it take you to get everything in place to do it?

With those two questions, the funds and the permission to request assistance from senior administrators whenever another agency stepped in their way he could have had America safe and sound 120 days (my time estimation) after 911.

At the same time adopt Israels security system for the airlines and harbors. (This would require dumping Minetta, may I choose the height point?)

Instead he chose to fiddle fart around and we still do not have secure borders or harbors. If we do suffer another terrorist attack I will place the blame where it belongs and that will not be upon our enemies.

I do wish I could close my eyes to what is actually happening and blindly believe in thesde men we have guiding us to destruction. It certainly would make the journey much easier.

I have a better idea, why don't you tell us how elevating a mere mortal to the status of global King, which is the natural consequence of global Free Trade governance, and knowing that such a global dictator is waiting at the end of the misnamed Free Trade road, makes you a fan of Thomas Paine who hated the idea of royalty, Kingship, dictatorship, to the point that he blamed all of mankinds ills on it?

Or are you naive enough to believe that the natural progression of one world global governance will not end in a one world dictator, even though the best warnings of prophecy in the Bible foretell both the coming of globalism and of this coming dictator over it?

What is it about the FTAA treaties forsaking Constitutional government and national sovereignty in favor of Euro/international law and melting nations into trade zones appeals to you? Have you even given it a thought? That you don't count the cost too high to make a buck really reeks.
