"Armstrong, who had known Jinah for about eight months, said he was surprised to learn the circumstances surrounding his death.
"He was one of the smartest, most polite guys I ever met in my life," he said. "I think he was one of the classiest guys. He had a maturity beyond his age."
Armstrong will will not be attending the official Darwin Award ceremony.

Note to self: drunken spitting contests held in basements are messier but safer.

Therefore, though not technically correct, in this case you could say that 55mph was his terminal velocity.

Oh well, look at the bright side, that much more air and water and (beer) for the rest of us,one less on the roads,or in line on in the super market etc etc

A demonstration of "9.8 meters per second squared" in action. Less the effects of air resistance.

We could have the Darwin award winner for February here - but a couple more days are left...

"Momentum carried him beyond." and he was an engineering student? kinda makes you wonder what his grades were in those darn classes, doesn't it....perhaps he wasn't doing too well in physics.

"Momentum carried him beyond."CARLETON University engineering students are going to have a tough time living this one down.

Even passed his spit on the way down...hey yall, watch this

Too bad a naked woman didn't jump out of the bushes at the last second to distract the man while falling. He might have missed the ground and learned to fly.
At least that is what Arthur Dent taught me when reading Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.

Quite so. I hope everyone's taking notes on this - there will be a quiz during this week's recitation.
Next slide, please.

Actually he didn't fall to his death, he stopped to it.It's not the fall that kills, it's the sudden stop.

For those who, like me, didn't know, Terminal Velocity is usually about 120mph for a falling human body. At least that's what I read on one of those fancy-schmantsy math sites. It depends on the amount of resistance you give, thus, if you go hard first arch your back, as I've seen skydivers do, you can increase your terminal velocity. Splay yourself out horizontally and you'll slow it down.

...24.5 m/s, more or less, or about 55 miles per hour.Well done.
It's not the falling, it's that sudden stopping, you know.
To: savedbygrace
In Ameer's case, terminal velocity was 55 mph.
