FARGO, N.D. - Ed Schultz was set to make his debut on his own national radio show when he suddenly got a nosebleed. Unfazed, he turned the blood into a prop.
"I'm so mean, there's blood on my sheets of paper," Schultz told his listeners, kicking off a project last month that some Democrats and other supporters have billed as a liberal alternative to Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity.

Somebody should tell Drudge that this "breaking news" is nearly 2 months old. This AP story about Blowhard Ed Schultz originally appeared in early January when his nothing of a radio show originally launched. The Mercury News is obviously out of the loop since they labeled this as "Breaking News." Then Drudge made the same error and the link to this story is now on his page.
The fact is in the nearly 2 months Blowhard Ed has been on the air in those pathetic few stations, he has made NO IMPACT despite the fact this is a busy political season. I even made a post about little impact Blowhard Ed is making a few days ago since there has been almost NO NEWS about him since his show launched last month. And this idiot thinks he can take on Limbaugh? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
Some listeners have accused him of opportunism, saying he made the right-to-left switch for the chance to make more money.
And "some listeners" would be exactly RIGHT. Blowhard Ed is in the radio biz STRICTLY for the money. He didn't earn enough pretending to be a conservative so he switched to liberal when those folks gave him a better money offer. Bottom line for Blowhard Ed is that he believes in NOTHING except $$$$$$$$$.

In his home base of Fargo, ND, I know of no one who listens to him. The only reaction I hear from locals is that they are exasperated and quickly change the station when they accidentally tune in.
We vote Bush up here.

Since when is a small-market, low-rated radio guy national news? When he's a liberal, that's when.

Take a look at these
PATHETIC EXCUSES from Blowhard Ed as to why his radio show is flopping:
The Mission....
The internet chatter is amazing. The attack from the hard right is now underway against this broadcaster. The smear campaign is mounting and it borders slander. I have an idea where it's coming from but my job is to deliver the program and stay the course. The door swings both ways. The hard right would not be headed in this direction if they didn't think the national show had a chance. We are adding stations weekly and making connections all over the country. It takes time. Radio stations have to operate around contracts and moving programs takes time. Our goal is forty stations by the end of the year.
Much has been made of Clear Channel not picking the national show up in North Dakota. There are a number of reasons. KFGO will not carry the program feeling too much of one personality in one day isn't good for the station. I agree with that. There is also market protection that I agreed to with Clear Channel to make it possibile for me to do this national show with Jones Radio Networks. News and Views is a regional powerhouse and has complete coverage of the state with high listenership. Clear Channel obviously wants to protect that. Too much of ED probably isn't a good idea. Like any broadcaster, I live by the ratings. News and Views is no different as the effort and content of the show will stay focused on local and regional topics with a drop of national news depending on the impact it has on the region.
Just Ask....
The best way to dispell any myths or misinformation about me or the program is to just ask. I'll answer any e-mail questions. This puts the answer on record and averts the hard right attempts to smear my character and professional accomplishments. I am talk show host and tax payer dollars are not being used for my show.

Sheesh! What a professional-looking website for this national broadcaster!
And the item directly above his rant says it all: Rush claims top spot on KFGO ! The Rush Limbaugh Show is the #1 program in its time slot! The "Ditto Heads" have spoken and they like Rush on KFGO!
To: JennysCool
That sounds like a slap by KFGO against Blowhard Ed.

This nut was on John Gibson's Fox show a month or so ago, and I thought Schultz was going to explode on air. Gibson was desperately trying to get a word in edgewise from the vituperative Schultz who got up a head of steam mouthwise and wouldn't shut his piehole. Gibson finally got Schultz to stop his typical liberal, Republicans-are-evil red-faced rant before he (Schultz) self-destructed. Here's a note to all libs who care about the economically depressed: tell them that if there are no jobs in their part of the country, THEY MIGHT HAVE TO MOVE TO WHERE THERE ARE JOBS!!!

Drudge must be reading the FR. He took down this very dated link. This marked Blowhard Ed's biggest moment in the sun and it turned out to be a MISTAKE.

This guy isn't really a liberal...he's an opportunist. He became a democrat in 2000, he's self-described as gun-toting and anti-abortion. Apparently he feels sorry for homeless people, and so he became a democrat.
Yet no one questions his motives. Sounds to me like he thought he'd develop a media niche for himself as a "liberal" talker or whiner.

Ed Schultz has been a conservative radio talk show host for years.
A opening for a National liberal host came about and he got in on this on the ground level with his buddies and stoogies...Dorgan, Conrad and Daschle. Some wealthy
demos tossed in $1.8 mil in a kitty an d said lets get someone.
Eddie switched and began as a liberal talk show host and said he could do the job...useing fake reasons and lies in his bio which Jones, American Democracy and seveal Senators bought.
He got in and insisted on a two year contract at $200k plus a year and a job for his wife as a producer.PLus some other help.
He got whatever he asked for..
his show went National Jan 6 and now is close to two months old.
On a one to ten...his national show gets a one...very poor.
The lies continue as they claim to be on more stations than they really are. But its about 6 stations all small ones.
Interested stations now ask around and snoop more and are not impressed.
Ed Kolpack a writer for the Bismarck Tribune did a story on his in his first day, January 6.
That story was printed. Now today all of a sudden that same news story has been published in several news papers in the USA as if it were a first run release and by ED Kolpack. Someone from Eds camp, took that old story and fed it to AP and they
ran it thinking it was new.
Poor way to get publicity. Lies, games, poor promotions etc right off the bat on this puppy and a
inexperienced liberal make for
ish.

Funny..........
All We want to know is how many stations are on
with ED?
In January we were told 12 or so.
Now, we are hearing 6 or so?
Why?Who are the stations?
We heard...Lisbon and Langdon, ND;Needles,CA;
Ann Arbour ,Mich;1 in Colorado and in Montana.
If so, thats TERRIBLE!
Being its a hot political year
and being ED was suspose to be the "great liberal entertainer" and being a liberal talk show was
suspose to be red hot in appeal....we cant help wonder if this show isnt already close to being dead.?
Mainly, because its only on a few stations. And frankly the show content is poor.
