What is a Troll???? I was taught as a young child that a troll is a hideous creature that live under a bridge that wants to harm children.

Apparently, there are a few subscribers to Free Republic that consider themselves the Troll Patrol.

Some authors of Posts to the Free Republic website are accused of being "Trolls". These people, whom call themselves the Troll Patrol, are trying to intimidate Americans who are wanting to express their thoughts and concerns to keep their thoughts to themsleves. This is an attempt to enforce censorship or pressure someone not to express themselves.

I would like to say to the Troll Patrol that this in not the old USSR or Nazi Germany in the 40's. This is the United States of America and we do have freedom of speech in this country.

If you want to find trolls, I suggest that you visit Sherwood Forrest there are probaly a few lurking around.

God Bless the United States and Protect Us From the Troll Patrol.

It amazes me how many people misinterpret the 1st Amendment to mean they can say anything they want, ANYWHERE without reproach. Must be the public school system.

This bears repeating. The concept that free speech means that anyone can say anything anywhere anytime without consequences can be laid at the doorstep of our public school system, which understands not the Constitution of the United States nor any of its first ten amendments.

It is the public school system that demands, yes demands, that its students must learn to read by the third grade, isn't it?

My gosh. My mother taught me to read before I entered the first grade. But that was in the olden days before the conception, gestation and delivery of our modern educational system.

The educational mountain labored, and delivered a mouse cancer upon this country and its future. /rant

The "intellectual" arguments are the best -- sometimes I just get on the side with the most interesting argument that can't be sustained prima facie, then go after it with dripping sarcastic embellishments.

Funny, JR seems to be the one who kills flame wars. He is the only one who has ever pulled a thread on me. Or maybe my sarcasm requires a higher power?

After being on this awhile, I learnt almost everyone (except maybe Kathy In Alaska) has been down that road. Price of passion, I suppose.

I have seen 2 or 3 of your posts and thought you would have been zotted for sure because of two things.

1 - You have been here 3 days and posted nothing but vanities.
