What is a Troll???? I was taught as a young child that a troll is a hideous creature that live under a bridge that wants to harm children.
Apparently, there are a few subscribers to Free Republic that consider themselves the Troll Patrol.
Some authors of Posts to the Free Republic website are accused of being "Trolls". These people, whom call themselves the Troll Patrol, are trying to intimidate Americans who are wanting to express their thoughts and concerns to keep their thoughts to themsleves. This is an attempt to enforce censorship or pressure someone not to express themselves.
I would like to say to the Troll Patrol that this in not the old USSR or Nazi Germany in the 40's. This is the United States of America and we do have freedom of speech in this country.
If you want to find trolls, I suggest that you visit Sherwood Forrest there are probaly a few lurking around.
God Bless the United States and Protect Us From the Troll Patrol.

Those are often House Trolls. There are a few subspecies.

Go back and read some of his posts. This guy isn't a troll.
As someone who was once banned for a week for making the most innocuous comment you can imagine, I totally agree with him, and I'm not a troll.

We ain't Congress
We ain't making no laws.
See you are learning about the Constitution for free. Enjoy your stay.

This is the United States of America and we do have freedom of speech in this country. So go stand outside your house or in front of your local grocery store and exercise your right of free speech. This website, however, is Jim Robinson's house and your speech here is at his leisure. Don't like that? Then move along.

It amazes me how many people misinterpret the 1st Amendment to mean they can say anything they want, ANYWHERE without reproach. Must be the public school system.

No, this is the conservative news forum Free Republic and there's no such thing as "freedom of speech" on a privately run website. I happen to think the mods go overboard at times in eliminating "unpopular" comments, but it's their right and I accept it.

What is a Troll?Anyone joining a message board community only five days ago -- and then having the unmitigated chutzpah to launch into a schoolmarm-ish, finger-wagging lecture as to how they're all the ones misbehaving -- would, in my considered opinion, legitimately qualify for "trollhood."
