To me the important main theme of today's hearing is Nix the Feds and give the support to local law enforcement ie:
Sheriff, Border Agent etc...Senator Craig agreed

He co-sponsor's a bill with Kennedy that asks for the circular worker's program and within 360 days illegals can gain permanent status!

He stated empahetically how the "Coyotes" are a competing business now and when the local police/sheriff pick up illegals, the INS will not pick them up in his state, he's tried!

He said we need to FIX the current laws NOW and do that first before ANY other new proposals are even considered.
The President's proposal should only be used as a "Base" to begin with for any workable laws!

I say screw the Federal level and let local authorities do the work! And quit tying their hands behind their backs with enforcing these laws!
