What a great job you've done with these boys!

I have a 16 yr old daughter who is playing punk guitar -g-
{beginner}My 15 yr old son is getting his guitar soon. What is the name of his group Myr? Do they play in clubs etc? My daughter goes often to concerts, mostly local. I've even gone to two with her and my son -g- Dad accompanies them to like Ozzfest and other metal fests.

He can do homeschooling to finish. We belong to a school that does satellite and the kids can graduate with the regular students.

Kids do need to find themselves.

His group was called "The Agitated". They published and sold enough of their CDs to cover all the studio costs. They were regulars at "Club Mill" in Pocatello. My son eventually decided to shift to playing guitar. He was performing some jaw dropping stuff from "Guns and Roses" recently. Quite a shift from his drumming skills. He builds custom PCs for people as a hobby. I've had computers in the household since 1980. The kids have had access to e-mail services since 1983 when we ran a UUCP network on Xenix around the house.

I found some music books and some software that tremendously accelerated my son's guitar playing skills. I can ask him for a reference if your son or daughter is interested. I sat first seat in the trumpet section from 4th grade until 10th grade when I swapped band for a chemistry class that I would need to get into UCSD. I also played baritone and french horn as necessary. My 20 year old has my "good" trumpet in San Diego. He sat first seat through high school as well. The Marines assigned him to bugling duties while he was in boot camp.
