SANAA, Yemen, Jan. 24 (UPI) -- A purported statement by al-Qaida in Yemen warned Saturday of a "major strike" soon in the United States.

The statement, distributed by the Yemeni Tagamoo Party for Reforms, said: "A major strike, a big event will take place in America soon," reminiscent of the Sept. 11 attacks.

I thought Iran being on the IAEA board was nuts. If the new rules that Pres. Bush proposed yesterday go into effect this will not happen again. From Pres. Bush's speech:

"And, finally, countries under investigation for violating nuclear non-proliferation obligations are currently allowed to serve on the IAEA Board of Governors. For instance, Iran -- a country suspected of maintaining an extensive nuclear weapons program -- recently completed a two-year term on the Board. Allowing potential violators to serve on the Board creates an unacceptable barrier to effective action. No state under investigation for proliferation violations should be allowed to serve on the IAEA Board of Governors -- or on the new special committee. And any state currently on the Board that comes under investigation should be suspended from the Board. The integrity and mission of the IAEA depends on this simple principle: Those actively breaking the rules should not be entrusted with enforcing the rules." (Applause.)

[CX] is the poster formerly known as MiDxc over at It's Happening. Try2Discern included a post of his some posts back and I responded with some background for anyone who does not frequent the It's Happening board.

[CX] is a Muslim convert who has been giving his ideas as to potential al qaeda attacks in the U.S. and elsewhere for a long time now. He does not claim to be privy to any insider information. That's a good thing because he has an awful track record! His ideas are highly probable in the scheme of things and his ideas are creative based on what he sees and hears, but he has not guessed right yet... Of course, there is always a first time, I suppose...
