SANAA, Yemen, Jan. 24 (UPI) -- A purported statement by al-Qaida in Yemen warned Saturday of a "major strike" soon in the United States.

The statement, distributed by the Yemeni Tagamoo Party for Reforms, said: "A major strike, a big event will take place in America soon," reminiscent of the Sept. 11 attacks.

Thanks for the info. If I remember correctly, there were others on the thread who had hypothesized the same thing when it was first announced. It's interesting to see this validated from another source.

Heh. Listening to my scanner it amazes me how many people are driving around uninsured and outdated tags. The officer calls in their ODL and wonderfully the whole crimanal record comes up from court supervised convicts to warrants for arrest ect.

They don't show up for court, file sr22's at their leisure or drive someone else rig so as not to be identified.

Kudo's to the police for fining them 240 bucks a pop.

Nice too is it is tied in to other states nowadays.

The biggest thing that can happen is after three times being ticketed for driving uninsured is your vehicle will be towed.

Who would want to live dodging cops and being lawless anyway? I don't like having to pay out the bucks but down to licensing the dogs we do.

I was thinking though the other day those who have cash to burn by not paying insurance premuims, fines, taxes ect. may be living it up today but it is the rest of us who will be enjoying our private lives in the long run by being lawful.

He knows of a plan to detonate a nuke inside of America, and wants badly to be off of our retaliatory strike list. As one of the Islamic nuclear godfathers, he's "heard things." He knows. Maybe not the specifics, but he knows. And when it goes off, he does NOT want to be on George Bush's suspects list. People charged with keeping out and otherwise finding these devices are VERY worried. That's what I heard.

We all know he caved in for reasons other than stated and this is surely plausible. My only question Travis is where did you here this?

I watched a Scott Peterson special on A & E with Bill Curtis. I hate defense lawyers! But he claimed (not Bill) that there may not be enough evidence to convict Scott. A childhood friend was convicted of a murder with no body, so don't talk to me about circumstantial evidence in Scott's trial, just fry him!

Looks like dhia-studios has finally gone live with the Riyadh video. I download all six parts of the video in under 5 minutes. I have Comcast cable internet access. They sent an email Friday saying that they were doubling customer bandwidth for free - Guess that means they'll be jacking up the price after the next statement. :(
