In a continued showing of financial strength, Herman Cain, Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, announced that his campaign began airing a series of television commercials Monday, Feb. 2, 2004. These commercials are the first to air in Georgia for the United States Senate race.
I am happy to be kicking off the campaign season with these commercials, stated Cain. As I travel the state, people overwhelming respond to my common sense conservative message. Now I have the ability to speak directly to all the voters of Georgia.
In three spots showing across the state, Herman Cain discusses his conservative common sense vision that he will take with him to the United States Senate.
In the spot titled Hollywood, Herman Cain defends President Bush and the war on terrorism. The transcript of the ad is as follows:
ANNCR: "Herman Cain Talks Sense."
HERMAN: The Hollywood crowd is attacking our President.
They seem pretty angry that President Bush didnt ask permission from France to defend our country.
Angry he dug Saddam Hussein out of a hole and put him in jail. Angry hes fighting the war on terror abroad to keep us safe here at home.
I believe we should support our troops and our President.
Its conservative common sense.
Thats my message; I'm Herman Cain.
In the spot titled Start Over, Herman Cain offers his solution for fixing the tax system. The transcript of the ad is as follows:
ANNCR: "Herman Cain Talks Sense."
HERMAN: The United States Tax Code. It's an 8 million word mess.
But we can fix it in two words: Start over.
Scrap the tax code and shut down the IRS
Replace it with a new tax system that's fair and simple.
And while we are at it why not replace the professional politicians who made the mess.
Conservative? You bet. To me its common sense.
Thats my message; I'm Herman Cain.
In the spot titled Pledge, Herman Cain calls for keeping the words Under God in the Pledge of Allegiance. The transcript of the ad is as follows:
ANNCR: "Herman Cain Talks Sense."
HERMAN: If you ask, Who is Herman Cain?
Id say Im a believer. I believe liberal judges shouldnt take the words Under God out of our Pledge of Allegiance. If they do, I believe we should put em back.
I believe that we need a constitutional amendment to guarantee we remain One Nation Under God.
Conservative? You bet. To me its common sense.
Thats my message; I'm Herman Cain.
For anyone who may have seen them, how do they look?
Impossible. If noone gets 50%+1, there is a runoff between the top two.
