Then I'll just be pissed at him for cutting a hole in it and making a poncho, then tossing it to a stage hand to discard.

Not only that, but he's also displaying our flag upside down. THAT signifies distress. Kid "rock" sucks!

Ok, while I know it's not right to wear the flag, my parents taught me well about the proper procedures concerning the American flag. These things I remember:

1) It should only be displayed in pristine condition. If it has any flaws, it should be replaced. (One of my pet peeves is to see an American flag flown in tatters, and I see that all the time.)
2) When you dispose of the American flag after it is flawed, it should be burned as a means of disposal.
3)You don't wear the American flag as clothing.
4)You should *never*, under any circumstances, let the flag touch the ground.

That said, although Kidd Rock may have broken one of the rules above, he DID NOT let the flag touch the ground. I was watching carefully. The person behind him caught it in the air.

I have to give him kudos, as being the one saving grace of the entire halftime fiasco. Although not perfect, at least he showed his patriotism.
