1) It should only be displayed in pristine condition. If it has any flaws, it should be replaced. (One of my pet peeves is to see an American flag flown in tatters, and I see that all the time.)
2) When you dispose of the American flag after it is flawed, it should be burned as a means of disposal.
3)You don't wear the American flag as clothing.
4)You should *never*, under any circumstances, let the flag touch the ground.
That said, although Kidd Rock may have broken one of the rules above, he DID NOT let the flag touch the ground. I was watching carefully. The person behind him caught it in the air.
I have to give him kudos, as being the one saving grace of the entire halftime fiasco. Although not perfect, at least he showed his patriotism.
It's sad that you consider him "patriotic" for desecrating a flag by cutting a hole in it and wearing it upside down.
