was more offended by the moveon.org commercial that CBS said they WOULD'NT run.Both the MoveOn.com commercial and the Janet Jackson Boob Display damage the innocence of children. It's pretty obvious that young children should not be looking at mock sexual assaults--but the MoveOn.com commercial was even worse.
The premise of the MoveOn.com commercial is that the debt accrued under President Bush will have to be paid off eventually, and it will be the children of the next generation who have to bear the burden. In other words, the premise of the MoveOn.com commercial is that when kids grow up, they will have to get jobs. MoveOn.com exposed our children to the horrible truth about life in the United States (and everywhere else).
What could be more horrible than telling a kid they'll have to get a job someday? And that deficits we run up today will have to be repaid at some later date? Compared to that, it should be easy to explain death, the birds and the bees, silver nipple pasties, and that Santa Claus isn't real. </sarcasm>
