He didnt' throw the flag on the ground - he flipped it up and behind him. A band member caught and took it away. It was very well rehearsed.

Thats ok. I'm pretty disgusted by the whole thing too. I don't like professional sports very much any more. I think they Stupor Bowl's best days are behind it. Over-hyped, Over-sold, Over-sexed, Over-glammed. All hat, no cattle. Still, people in Houston have had a blast with it and I don't begrudge them their fun.Actually, my recollection is that they were all uninteresting blowouts until about 5 or six years ago. The games themselves are actually getting better.

What guy wants to be reminded during the Super Bowl that he has that kind of dysfunction? What are these advertisers thinking?

Umm..they cut a hole in the flag in case you didn't notice. Unless Kid Rock managed to squeeze his pin head between the threads.

There are 100,000 bottle caps with chits for free downloads on Apple iTunes. No, I didn't get that from the ad. I saw a preview yesterday. I also head Apple would rerun "THE AD" with a iPod around her waist...

I know. I'm not approving of it. Somehow doing this on the SB half time show gets a pass.

Your halftime producer is one Michael T. Fiur. He's apparently produced a lot of award shows, pre-games and halftime shows. I'd guess he has a degree of some sort in BS (Bachelor of Spectacle).
I strongly suggest we file his name away and keep our eye out for it in the future - so we can let his next employer know how disgusting we find his work.
