Ease up on Kid Rock.
He desecrated a US flag on stage on worldwide tv. There is no excuse for it and previous good deeds don't make it okay.
To: steveegg
This halftime crap has to stop. It was painful to watch this with my 6 and 8 year old girls. I had to hustle them off to bed.

I don't think so. If you look just below the Pepsi logo you'll see that was also an ad for iTunes. Paying 99 cents a tune won't tick RIAA off.
I saw it. But in television advertising, its not what they write, its what they say.

Paying 99 cents a tune won't tick RIAA off.No....because you would be paying more than you would for a CD(if you downloaded the same number of songs ... and they don't have to pay the production costs! 99 cents a song is a ripoff!!!

He didn't rip it off and throw it down. He pulled it off and it was removed from his hands by a lady on stage.

That whole halftime show p!ssed me off. I was thinking that if terrorists struck right then, they would be doing the nation a favor.

"Take your clothes off."We were watching with the closed-captions enabled on the TV, the lyrics were porn poems. "I want to touch your body, take your clothes off."
During some songs, the transcriptionists seemed to have given up, they stopped typing the captions.
To: Arkinsaw
If I remember correctly, the US Flag Code says that the flag shall not be used as a garment.
BTW...the guitar player put the flag in a heap next to the right side of the drum kit.
So much for not letting it hit the ground...

That was planned, I saw him reach around for the velcro. No way! ~ I thought those leather jackets with the tear-away, breast-exposing pockets were all the rage with women nowdays!

Please... not in my hometown. I'm just a couple of miles away from this crap, and I have to go by there to get to work tomorrow.
