Israel, in my opinion, ought to be co-opted to do our airline screening. Or at least hire away some of the El-Al guys.
But Wolf is nuts if she thinks the American people would tolerate a bombing every few weeks just to protect Abdul's right not to be wiretapped if he's suspected of terror activity.

Naomi Wolf's depth of strategic knowledge went as far as advising Al Gore to change his clothing color to natural earth tones.
To: Recovering_Democrat
First of all, and most prominently, Naomi Wolf ignores the reality of September 11; she forgets we are at war Most prominently indeed. We have to remember that the Libs' worldview is essentially childish (which is why everything's "for the children"). Their utterly idealistic, unrealistic view is threatened by "hard" issues like war, so they simply choose to ignore it. That's why they are so dangerous. They have a real, ingrained need to further their fanciful, happy-happy, can't-we-all-just-get-along fantasy life, and they have willing comrades in the media to help them further the illusion that all is well and we should really be concentrating on things like prescription drugs and gay marriage and bennifer instead of big, bad, war. That so many people have this childish and ultimately ignorant attitude leaves us wide open to disaster. Thank God there is adult backbone in the White House. And here at Free Republic.

Naomi may not realize all of the actions that Isreal carries on behind the scenes either....like assassination missions by Mossad, 1st use of weapons to destroy any perceived threat to Isreal, and aggressive protection of its border (the fence comes to mind). Ms. Wolf is a bit innocent and out of her league...she needs to stick with image control.

That woman is loony tunes. No emotional control, a typical whiney Liberal. Israel is doing things under the radar that people like her would no doubt scream bloody murder about. And that is why those things are done under the radar !!!

Well, it's a forgone conclusion that she IS nuts, but the thing that she seems to have missed is due to the fact that Israel has been in a defacto state of war since 1948, the "Shin Bet" has access to personal information of anyone in Israeli terrirory that makes the Patriot Act look tame. There is no such thing as "privacy" in Israel. If the US used Israeli intelligence tactics (which is illegal in the US... The CIA is barred from spying on citizens in this country, and until recently, from sharing information with the FBI), liberals (and frankly conservatives) would be screaming bloody murder.
Hey, I wonder if she would approve of the levels of Israeli gun control too! I'd love to have a select fire Galil!

Or at least hire away some of the El-Al guys. <<< I remember hearing a report of an interview with the the head of El-Al security a year or so ago. He was asked what he thought of the United States airline and airport security systems in view of the changes made since 9/11.
His reply was telling: "You don;t have a security system, you have a system to piss off travelers".

I tried to E-Mail Dennis Miller. I wanted to point out that frequently, whenever David Horowitz tries to make a cogent point, Naomi starts her motormouth filibustering to stop him from speaking. I suggested that Miller quit staring at her tits and pay attention and let Horowitz finish his thoughts. Anyway, the E-Mail never got through. I got DennisMiller@cnbc.com from serching the web but it didn't work.
That being said, I was wondering some of the same things you posted, and you stated them better than I could.

She is obnoxious, condescending, and incredibly annoying. Those traits are surpassed only by her lack of intelligence. Horowitz (and even Miller)completely outclassed her in those debates. Put her up against Coulter, or F. Lee Levin, and she would self-combust.

If I recall correctly I read a book in which Netanyahu suggested limiting freedoms in America to prevent terrorist attacks. This was before 9/11. Israelis understand much more than we do the cost of freedom. They pay the price everyday.

I would just like to know why Dennis had to go to a REPEAT in his first week on the air? Is he in trouble already? I hope not.
Everything you said about Wolfe is true, and she ought to wash her sticky hair, and give about 25 of those pounds to Ann Coulter! ;)

She doesn't care, apparently, that there have been no instances of the government "spying" on ordinary citizens' library records...instead, when confronted with this fact by Dennis Miller, she says in a spooky voice "We don't know that, do we??" [In my best double-secret spooky voice] Nor do we know, Ms. Yettomakesense, it wasn't being done before the Patriot Act, do we? We do know that Newt Gingrich's supposedly protected, cell phone conversation ended up in the hands of (pardon the redundancy) Democrat neer-do-wells.

Oh, my, Wolfe has some silly little "ideas," doesn't she? And her presentation is horrible. It is very difficult watching her attempt to "debate." Her reliance on emotionalism and on touching her adversaries as she is trying to talk over them is a very manipulative, very dishonest debating "technique." Miller needs to pull in someone on Horowitz' intellectual level...his show deserves better.

She's just lying.
All of the leftwing morons constantly being paraded by the media who are "in fear" because of the Patriot Act are putting on a show. They are lying to lower public esteem for President Bush.
They are not afraid-except of President Bush, the possibility that he will be reelected, and that he will collapse their judicial supremacy fantasyland.
Don't make the mistake of supposing that you can point out the flaws in an argument that is pure propaganda before it is ever spoken.
It's pure, malicious lies and that's all it is.
