No, it most certainly did NOT ! But FR's UNAPPEASABLES don't care. Some of them actually yearn for a Dem president.

I think President Bush might have a little something to do with that.

Well, that's true, no doubt. Regardless, Bush has finally come up with a way to lose this election, as the tone of this thread indicates. These aren't just Bush-haters--everyone's becoming a Bush-hater.

War on Terror? Hell, we're letting the terrorists all in through Mexico anyway. Don't tell me this guy is the only one.

Supposedly, that guy came into this country from Mexico before 911 -- that's before the WOT.

If you can't compete in the free market, you have no business being a filmmaker. Just like Bill Moyers shouldn't have a tv program. His PBS gig would never survive without government funding.

AND, the FedGov has no right to be involved in force-feeding a political agenda to the populace via the mass media. If the people won't "purchase the product" in the market place, thats all. The simple fact is that "Public TV/Radio" and the "NEA" are just more bamboozlements of the populace by the Leftists in the FedGov to appropriate public funds to propagandize their otherwise unmarketable agenda.

In 2000 -- the last presidential vote -- Al Gore and Ralph Nader received a majority of the vote. It is my guess that these voters can't get enough of government spending.

I'd hardly call that an edorsement of big gov't.

The two people that I know who cast a ballot for Gore, described it as "voting against Bush" instead of for Gore.

And most of the people I know that voted for Bush were voting against Gore.

Some of us that voted for Bush, actually voted "for" him because we were nieve enough to believe his lies about wanting less gov't and not engaging in nation building.

There simply wasn't much enthusiam for either candidate, and I expect it will be the same in 2004.

Dear God, you people may as well be liberals.

That's the problem, and it's been brewing for a long while. Most can no longer distinguish real differences between these two beltway parties. Don't tell me, you haven't noticed?

Personally, I like knowing that there is a War on Terror going on, and that it's being executed by a man who is determined to win it. It kinda trumps how I feel about my pocketbook.

IMHO any good military man could defeat the likes of Iraq. Iraq should have been a walk in the park, if we only went in there like it was a real war. Unfortunately, we didn't do that either, as our guys are still getting killed and the two party elite discuss how to rebuild *their* country.

I know, you once voted for him but never more, blah, blah, blah. You're upset over(fill in the blank)and you'll go vote for whatever 3rd party waste that appeals to you today. You and many like you seem to think this little 2 to 5 percent really are in contact with the pulse of the nation, you're not;we as freepers are not. Most people reading this would look at almost all of us as crazies, because they have been conditioned to do so. Do you really think that we got here in a day and a half? Do you not realize the gradualism the Left used to get us to this point will NOT be undone just because we want it now? Is that a tough concept to grasp? Some twit made the comment that we could control Kerry with a Republican congress. That is an idiotic statement,it really is .What hubris! Clinton rolled over because he was fundamentally weak and had no real leadership qualities. Kerry, in spite of being unlikeable, and cold, can lead and he will, in directions none of us want to go. But, you know, keep having your Bush is a RINO or worse tantrums. Keep standing on the ever shifting principle based only on being unappeasable, with populist/socialist leanings. And, by the way, you're gonna bail on Bush over this? Why, what happened to the rant du jour of yesterday? Oh that's right, the general public did not care about that one either, they support the President because he is seen, rightly, as stopping maniacs from attacking the nation and killing their kids.

Yessir, man,I think I'll defer to all those principled ,true conservatives .You betcha,I'll be crushed when I don't get a thank you note from Terry MccAuliffe. Maybe you can show me yours.

Can you imagine a Gore president with a Bush V.P.?

Something like that almost happened in 2000:

That's what I thought about Medicare. Three hours of voting later, and plenty of bribing and begging by Bush, and it passed.

I'm not opposed to 'government' I'm opposed to left-wing government.

Somehow I doubt that.

Okay, you win, your sophisticated logic overwhelmed me, it really did . Guess we should all just concede this to the Dems and you can enjoy whining about them for the 4 to 8 years they'll do such a better job than Bush is doing. I am so glad you lead me back to the light.

I don't believe any of you ever voted for President Bush in the first place!

Of course we did. Do you think he got in on the votes of Dems and moderates?
