her decision to take a six month detour at the UN is what gave Saddam enough time to sneak the WMDs to Syria.
Jayzus H Keerist, get your facts straight. Do you NOT recall the Congressional/Media brouhaha tha tour Representative Republic sort of forced the Pres and his team to pay attention to?

Yes, Bush sits around thinking up ways to insult people... This time he really has. He might as well send a herd of pigs onto the Temple Mount in Jerusalem as propose a major increase for the NEA.

Well.. I am dismayed at what is going on, but I am not about ready to let the likes of Kerry or any of the other rats take over the presidency. 8 years of not watching TV and the news really took their toll on me when Klintoon was in power. I just went to georgewbush.com and voiced by displeaure. If enough people do this, maybe we will get our voices heard but even though I am upset with this, I will not be able to stand to see a President Kerry or Dean or any of the dwarves...

The reasons for staying home in November are pilling up at an accelerated pace as the day draws near.I'm confident that many are thinking likewise....

Rice/Powell also gave us the continued support of Arafat ... and the roadmap, warmed over Oslo - a failure under Clinton and a road to nowhere now ...
Quite frnakly, I'd take Newt Gingrich over Condi Rice for President in a heartbeat.
I think people are picking her because they think the gender and skin color would appeal ... Imagine the kind of experience Newt's had and his viewpoints and abilities - as a black woman. Then imagine a 40-something white guy with the background of Condi Rice, ie, an NSC guy.
Who would you pick as possible Presidential candidate?

"When President Kerry or Edwards ends the War on Terrorism and, then, two years later Islamists blow up New York City, remember this and know that everyone who did not fully back the President is responsible."
You know what - you're right! - we have no choice but to vote for Bush because National Security is so important.
But that still doesn't mean we can't be pissed off at this proposal.
Good night,

Wasn't the NEA the same group that funded someone who created "art" degrading Jesus Christ?
Applying the same logic that Bush uses in the "war on terror", and since Bush wants to give the NEA more money, doesn't that make Bush guilty of the same thing the artist did?

Please show me where I said that Clinton was "wise".....you can't because I didn't.
The fact is, triangulating, or co-opting GOP issues, helped Clinton win the 96 election.
You don't think it "worked like a charm". Fine, fair enough, you want to have a semantic disagreement, but your arguments lose all credibility when
you toss around the DU accusations all the time.
FRegards.
To: MamaLucci
It's called "triangulation". Worked like a charm for Clinton. I'd hoped for better from President Bush. Yeah, and both times America got screwed.

While they're at it, perhaps they could find it in their hearts to fund another PBS channel, as well as NPR2. Only these would be devoted to liberal issues. 'Bout time.

Our local symphony orchestra receives money from the NEA and without it they couldn't exist. Almost all the members are amateurs who do it because they enjoy it. No one is paid for playing in the orchestra except when they do performances that are being paid for by a third party. You point out an excellent example. Decades ago, such a thing would not have been expected by the people of the government to be providing. Look at people today, expecting more and more of what the government is supposed to provide them. This increases every year that goes by.
And how do you think people get elected? By agreeing with these expectations if they are in the majority.
It is therefore that it is inevitable that government will continue to grow and take on more and more services. Because those who will be reaching government will have to be looking to supporting these beliefs to be elected.

Oh yea, that is exactly what happened, tons of democrats joined the GOP after the 94 election. Democrats like Rick Perry here in Texas. He has an R by his name but he is really a democrat. I by the way have been advocating a conservative takeover of the Rats party. Seems like the best option to me. I am going to start voting in Dem primaries and start voting for conservative Dems. I think we all should do the same.

But, if it goes to fund patriotic art- what's wrong with that? A good use of money, so far as I'm concerned. As a fellow Conservative, I am interested in your Constitutional basis for funding "the arts" as a "good use of money". Just curious.

How about you just throw your vote to Kerry, Dean, Edwards, or whoever the Dem nominee is.
