Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks that days have passed, and we have been able to go about the tasks at hand without attack on our homeland. We praise You for Your loving kindness to us ... we thank You that this relative calm allows all of our services to be better trained and better equipped to uncover plans of attack ... to name those who plan ... to find those who would carry out devastation ... to lesses the ability of the enemy to shed innocent blood.

And yet blood continues to be spilled worldwide, O God ... the struggle is as old as the beginning of time ... the forces of evil that would overcome the forces of good. Thank You that the battle is Yours ... that it is a spiritual battle and the outcome is assured ... "I have said this to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." John 16:33

For this reason we pray for those who stir up strife ... for those who plan murder. We pray for the darkness of souls that don't yet have the light of life. Pierce their hearts with the truth of Your words, Creator God, that they might have the eternal life promised by You, and not promised by man.

Yet help us to remain vigilant and not distracted ... compassionate and not foolish ... armed with purpose and not swayed by lying tongues. Terrorism is to be crushed beneath the heel of justice, that freedom and liberty might be the portion of all people. Guide us in this task, O God, for it is great, but greater are You. In the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen ...
