Well I've been trying to get out of California for two years now. Are there jobs and reasonable rents? By the time June gets here our temps will start going up till they reach 115 in Jult & August, it's horrible. Not to mention all the other problems we have in Southern California.

Did they nuke New York and nobody noticed? I've been trying to get WABC Batchelor and Alexander on the web for 10 minutes now and nothing. I know they have long breaks at times, but this is rediculous!
Fortunately my favorite bluegrass webstation WDVX is still working. Guess that will have to do!!

Let me know when you are ready to come. I'm sure rentals are less than California....on the other hand, I doubt if employment pays as much as California. If and when you are serious, let me know. I do have some contacts.

Not that we aren't also looking around to leave the state, but here in Long Beach, CA we don't even have air conditioning because we don't need it. Temps rarely reach 90 and ocean breezes cool it down every afternoon. Like in Santa Monica (but without the bums). Ceiling fans work for us.
I love the weather here; I grew up in the San Fernando Valley so I know 115 heat and hate it.

We were going to move to SD about 10 years ago because they were rated I think #1 for every major facet of w hat is important to people!
