Not that we aren't also looking around to leave the state, but here in Long Beach, CA we don't even have air conditioning because we don't need it. Temps rarely reach 90 and ocean breezes cool it down every afternoon. Like in Santa Monica (but without the bums). Ceiling fans work for us.
I love the weather here; I grew up in the San Fernando Valley so I know 115 heat and hate it.
I grew up in the SF Valley myself, it certainly has changed a lot since then!! For the worse I'm sorry to say.
