Sorry for the nonsequitor; I was watching the commercial and thought the little donkey was SOOOO cute! LOL

Isn't SA about 8 hours ahead of Eastern Time?
It is now 2/2 in the ME, gang.
Time to see if the "countdown clock" is BS or not.

That's what Maria Esperanza spoke of regarding NYC.

This means by the time we figure it out, it will be to late. Hope they have a handle on where the food, soda, beer and water came from
To: jstolzen
Let's hope it is.
To: Letitring
Nope. I missed that. But I do agree that they are wonderful to watch.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1069666/posts "New York Neighborhood Deals With Rat Problem"
NBC30 ^ | 1/26/04
Posted on 02/01/2004 2:09:17 PM PST by Tumbleweed_Connection
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "A Bronx neighborhood group is using bacon, peanut butter and cheese to lure some 10,000 rats to their deaths within a month.
Hispanics Across America planted more than 20 boxes of fatty food around Joyce Kilmer Park -- two blocks from Yankee Stadium -- on Sunday. Once inside the boxes, the rats would be exterminated, said Fernando Mateo, the group's president."

Sunset is officially 5:58 CST per the weather report for Houston International Airport. I don't know how long after "sunset" it takes to reach the point where one can not discern a white thread from a black thread in natural light.

Just a (paranoid) thought. AQ does something overtly major- fire/chem explosion/nuke- which we watch in horror. However, even prior to their attack, they have surreptitiously exposed numerous innocent people to smallpox/sars whatever (I'd guess smallpox-you are contagious for a period of time before the lesions show up.) Think it's timae for me to drink a cold beer!
To: Revel
Yeah, I know..
But the article carried on the front page of that Italian paper said that AQ threatened to destroy NY on *2/2*.
Me..I think 2/2 is gonna come and pass, and NYC will still be there just fine and ducky.
The "countdown clock" ends with a message saying 'the blessed event has PASSED'. So, it's not like ID (the movie) where things go blooey when it hits 00000. I always took it to mean that things would go blammo prior to the clock expiring.
Maybe I'm just thinking too positively, but now that we are "here" at 2/2, I am thinking the whole EOM thing is total BS. (Not to belittle the threat..obviously, we're cancelling flights left and right). But, I think there's threats..and then there are THREATS. And, EOM has been threatening TEOTWAWKI for too long now.
I will be the first in line to kick the living snot out of that little twerp if we ever find him.

Yeah, in Saudi it was about 7:30...but it varies from about 6:30-8 p.m. local time over there depending on city...
To: jstolzen
We are hoping it is BS. But none of us know unfourtunately. That is a terror in of itself.

Yes, it's now 4:30 PST, 7:30 EST, and 3:30 am 2/2 in Saudi (Mecca)
To: jerseygirl
Yep..my thought, too.
I'm a bit surprised things seem to be chugging along just fine right now, tho.
Tomorrow will be..interesting, to say the least.
But, I am vascilating between "we'll be fine" and TEOTWAWKI.
Time will tell. My guess..we'll be fine. But I am prepared for ANY eventuality.

Yes, about 8 hours ahead. I was thinking of that sing-song post that one idiot made, back a few days ago. In that Jihad post, that terrorist said final prayers were at 9pm. Just a sec and I'll post the #.
#13,938, on thread 1. It was by Tazboy, posted Jan 23,2004.
