Just spent the majority of the last two days helping out my elderly father in law do some renovation on his home and popped into the thread about 300 posts ago.

Seems like a lot of stuff is going on, and the "chatter level" is going up in proportion to the events. Its a good time to keep an eye out for anything suspicious, and report it immediately if we see it.

I see a lot of tension on the board, and just thought I would offer a few hints:

1) Dont be afraid, or nervous. Fear makes things look bigger than they actually are, and immobilizes you when you need to make decisions. Stay calm, think things through, and have some confidence about your abilities to make it through whatever happens. The truth is, these camel loving morons cannot kill all of us, even if they do pull off something. Those of us who survive can make them pay dealry for it afterwards.

2) Find your strength to confront all obstacles in God. Face any challenge with a prayer, and make your peace in advance of having to confront a challenge.

3) Dont buy into enemy propaganda. They will lie to make you feel fear. I refuse to be afraid of them. I simply want to wring their necks.

4) Final piece of advice: Enjoy yourself until the time comes you cannot enjoy yourself. Life has to go on even though war is raging.


I have learned to love each of you guys. Now lets get steely eyed and kick some terrorist butt!

I didn't see the NY one. No, I saw, after the park thing, a picture of a building with alot of glass windows in the front, looked like pictures of the front of Reliant, something flying toward it, that you couldn't see, then an explosion filled the screen and that was it. From there, it went into chains dangling, arabic words formed on the chains, and then photos of Gitmo. I clicked off it after that, so didn't stay for the ending.

Snail mail would still be the best way to speak unobserved. Especially if they had normal jobs and they were writing simple letters c/o the place of work, where it would be difficult for antiterrorism to check all incoming mail.

It might be; it might be way off the mark. But that thought struck me when those dead men were found.
It's so hard to think like they do. None of us were raised they way they were.
I put absolutely nothing past them. They're raised from birth to be killers and to do it any way possible. brrrrr!

Flight to Houston during Super Bowl is canceled

One of the sources, whose work spans the U.S. government's anti-terrorism effort, said Sunday that the intelligence did not include a specific threat against the Super Bowl. The intelligence was specific only to flight and time, the source said. That flight had been scheduled to depart at 5:44 p.m. ET and arrive in Houston at 8:10 p.m. CT.

Because of concerns that the Super Bowl was being played in Houston, federal officials decided to cancel the flight. The game was to begin at 5:25 p.m. CT.

The threat against the Houston-bound flight was part of a piece of intelligence that was similar in origin but slightly more specific than information that triggered December's Code Orange terror alert. The intelligence, however, was not specific about the number of terrorists involved, their mode of attack or their target, the sources said.
