Prayer Request for Freeper's Son
Me | Today | Self

Posted on 01/26/2004 12:05:16 PM PST by kimmie7

I just got the news that my precious son's (age 4) blood tests are back. He has Alpha 1 and the numbers on his liver enzymes are shooting up again.

His alkalines have almost doubles, as have ALT and AST. In short, it's not real good. Our wonderful doctor wants to check again in 3 months, but thinks we'll be headed back to Vandy for more aggressive treatment.

Please pray for his health & healing if it is God's will. Also, please pray for us as we cope. I will most certainly give God the glory and ya'll my heartfelt thanks.

Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency (AAT Deficiency or Alpha-1) is one of the most common serious hereditary disorders in the world and can result in life-threatening liver disease in children and adults or in lung disease in adults.

I'm going to have a bit of a cry now. He begged to go to Granny's for a few hours and I just couldn't say no.

Is that your doctor's hand in the picture; by its looks, I would guess him to be about 60 years old, 5'10" to 6' tall and weighs about 165-175 pounds.

LOL, no, that's my hubby's hand. (Age41 at the time, 210) - but my son's doctor was so wonderful. Dr. Bruner, who did the historic in utero spina bifida Sx -- remember the pic of the little hand reaching out of the womb to grasp his? That was our doc.

Dear Creator God, I pray that You would be moved to heal and comfort this little one and hear the cries of Your sincere followers on his behalf. You alone, Father God, have the power to heal and make manifest Your glory. I beseech Thee to intervene and astound those around him attending to his care.

I also pray for You to strengthen this boy's father and family, that they may turn to You and be comforted and feel Your loving embrace. Oh Lord, how we long for the time to come in Heaven that all our pain and suffering cease; but until that time comes, as You are the God of Earth as well as Heaven, may it please be Your will to grant this family Your healing touch.
This I pray in the name of Your Precious Son, our Savior, Jesus, the Christ.

May God give you and your son both the strength to endure his illness. May our Almighty Father also grant healing to your son if it be His will. May He guide the hands of your son's physicians so that he receives the best treatment possible for his affliction.

We ask these favors in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

It is certainly GOD's will for your son to be healed. There was not one instance in the New Testament when someone approached Jesus for healing that he did not heal them. Have the faith of a mustard seed and pray over your son for healing. I will do the same. God Bless.

Oh, man, Kimmie. Our son had cancer at 10 months, and I know how you feel. He's well now, 9 years old, and we're off for a followup blood test tomorrow. May the Good Lord bless and keep you.

Done.

Just last night, I was watching the story of Trent Dilfer's little boy and his battle with heart problems, and I was thinking of what I would do if something this awful befell my 4 year old daughter.

I am truly sorry for what you are going through, and prayers are sent.
