President George W. Bush blew it Tuesday night. He delivered a State of the Union address that downplayed his most promising - and potentially revolutionary - domestic-policy initiatives. Earlier drafts had reportedly contained a lengthy exposition of his vision of an "ownership society," expanded and strengthened by tax changes and Social Security reform.

Reynold's wrap is good for this. I recommend a double coat. Make it in a 'top hat'...it repels the rays so much better.

No, no, no!
The semi-parabolic shape of a -bowler- is *so* much better for deflecting the rays!
It's much more stylish, too....:)

( and always remember...shiny side -out- )

LOL!

I fashioned a new foil hat for the holidays.I could see I needed to update it for the year ahead. It may wear out and need replacing by spring.

The Dems can't play moderate; every single one of them is for increasing taxes.

And people do not give a damn about the deficit if the economy is growing.
I agree; Bush will win by at least ten per cent.

What will the Democretins do? Claim to be the party of balanced budgets? They can't possibly stimulate the economy by raising taxes. The way to stimulate the economy is to reduce energy costs and increase the personal exemption (the only kind of tax cut that benefits people who do the actual work of the society). My mom just paid (out of social security) $196 for a month's fuel oil. Opposition to drilling in the ANWR is support for higher fuel prices. The lame excuse that it will take ten years to develop begs the question, "will the oil shortage improve with age?"

More BS. The average Iranian today would kill to have the Shaw back.

That is pure bunk and shows how little you really know. The average Iranian has been screwed twice. First by the Shaw and then the fundamentalists and that average Iranian holds the US accountable for the whole mess. Are they PO'ed? You bet they are.

Glad to have ya back from the dark side! ;-)

[sarcasm] That is quite a list. I would have expected a slanted/biased list of poll questions! [end sarcasm]

Man, did they load that poll or what???

Yep, I'm waiting for the 15 year cycle flip-flop between the parties platforms while the voters are told to "be patient" again.

"the lack of good paying jobs "

I believe I read that only Gephardt was strong on this, next was Edwards and maybe Lieberman.
Kerry sounds almost like GWB on this issue.

You know what works great and looks really snazzy?
Save all the wrappers from the Easter and Christmas "Hershey's Kisses".
Laminate them over the usual plain tinfoil beanie.
Hot-glue the "Kisses" papers all over it for a thrifty, decorative fringe.
Such a festive, colorful look!

( It's a *good* thing )

.............BUSH/CHENEY 04 FOR THE SAKE OF THE NATION.......

I totally agree with you, MEG33! I may not agree with all of President Bush's policies, but I don't want the brave men and women of our military ending up with a RAT as Commander in Chief!

It's a product of the history of my state.
After that Lincolnian "martial law" thingy, the state went rabidly Democrat as a reaction.
Trouble was, the Democrats went rabid later on and none of us noticed the difference....:))

Golly gee...that poll was loaded?!?
[shocked gasp]
( like Teddy K on a Saturday night )

Same ol' crapaganda, flashy new format. It would be boring if it wasn't dangerous....;)

p.s...I have gone to same tiny little polling place every year I've voted.
They have the standard table with a [D] lady and a [R] lady with their respective registration books.
For years, the [D] lady smiled upon me as I gave my name.
But then, so did the [R] lady, without a single hint of reproach.
The year I switched, the [D] lady gave me such a look of revile and disgust that I had to check to see if I had a Spotted Owl feather caught in my teeth.
(and I know she recognized me as "one of hers" since my very long reddish-blonde hair makes me sort of unmistakable for anyone else in our tiny community)
The [R] lady gave me the same smile she always did, only just a little bit warmer and welcoming.
I smiled back and said I was glad to have my name found in the "book of life", now.
Her wide grin and the [D] lady's sneer told me I'd done the right thing...:)
