the not amnesty amnesty is codifying what exists now. Illegals can hid for ten years and pay to get legal. They pay 1800 dollars in late fees hire a lawyer for $5000+ and they get their green card. This is the law now.
I see the immigration "reform" working IF and only IF the border gets much more solid. With this the mexican (aztlan advocates) will have no leg to stand on to object to reinforcing the border.
I was pleased by the metion of the Federal Marriage Amendment.
I think people have become a tad spoiled and forgot how bad it was with Democrat Party control of Congress. Eliminating the great society welfare state, dismatling the democrat party, and helping people "off the plantation," is going to take decades.
The issue is not "speechifying" the issue is what are the results. Ecconomy up, saddam not funding homicide bombers, tax cuts, those are results.

The Democrat response is codifying the party's policy of requiring a permission slip for national defense.
Pelosi is an admitted socialist. Essentially she is a communist in the US's congress.
Oh joe where are you?

And now it's "poor women" who are intimidated? That's the most disrespectful thing I've ever heard in my life. Geez, tighten up your Depends. I'm glad I yanked your cranium from a chiropractic interanus nightmare. The rescue didn't give you a lick of any real intutiy, however.
Of course women are intimidated around here. This is like any other community, real life or online. Women have a heightened awareness of "stuff" in their contributions, responses and "security sense" than men do. Women have ideas, opinions and epiphenies ... OHHHHH MAMAMMMAAA do they have those things! Our everyday loving communiques say so with a QUICKNESS ... but they're not going to go into "enemy territory" as novices on a new website and share them.
This forum is chock full of male assholes right now. Everybody has a grievance, everybody's a victim, it's all a fellowship of screwy men who blame Bush. Great, not many insights gleaned from this moleman crew. The women have ideas and a HALF ... but are they gonna come out?
FR is severely lacking right now in that area IMO. We have amazing female professors, historically important Marine vets, marvelously successful business women, professors, world travelers, great moms and grammas etc etc etc who are NOT jumping into the fray when the 11th corncob suppositoried idiot says "Bush has betrayed America. There's no more America".
Yeah, it's online, but they're not going to enter some cyberspace milieu where dismal old men are engaging in bitter life workouts. They can hang with their mumbling husbands for that! :^)
Don't ever underestimate the import of security for women in cyberspace and life. It's our most sacred obligation as men to provide that comfort.
It's severely lacking on FR. Right now, IMO.
To: ArneFufkin
This is pretty simple...who knows they are women unless they say they are or have handle that makes that clear?
To say this forum is intimidating women is STUPID if no one knows their gender.
It's as stupid as saying "gays and lesbians" are intimidated. It's an anonymous forum unless information is forwarded.

I like and admire this President too. I hope that he can mend his ways (see CFR, Prescription Drug Entitlements, Amnesty Plan, etc) before it is too late. Me too, I am still a conservative, I just look at him from a different 'angle' now

I think its only fair to be critical of the President. Not bash, but be critical of what he says.
Critical=bashing even according from my friends here

There's more to a being a Republican than "Doesn't Dubya's tie look gorgeous!" and "Aren't Laura's shoes darling?"
And better insults, like facts to the Dims, than hill and her crusty clothes, talk about being fed up with something on threads, damn like heard that for 6 years now -g-

LOL! I just said something to that same effect. he was EXTREMELY red and very bloated looking. he does not look well, seriously.
To: Wait4Truth
Exactly! Some here take any and every opportunity to turn a thread into a Bush-bash. Seems like they have no other reason for existing.
Ok -g- your post is # 281 and the hill clothes are running like 100 + Hilliary's clothes 100 + worried about bashing I am glad I didn't join this live, because I would've laughed even more than I am now. I am still waiting for the 'relative' info about the SOTU from ALL sides.

anti-Bush sentiment
What is so hard for people to grasp that anti-illegal/immigration is 'only' anti-Bush two ways: 1. Bush himself makes it so 2. All of you complain that it is anti-Bush and are wrong {{smiling}}
