Karl Rove is asinine. If he's a political guru, he knows the American people are against amnesty and blatant giveaways to illegal aliens. Tom Tancredo and Russell Pearce mirror the national mood on the subject. Too bad the President won't give them the time of day.

I'm wondering if the faves of labor (Gephardt and Dean) taking a beating in Iowa means that voters are sick of unions that don't choose candidates who protect our borders, oppose NAFTA/WTO, and are sick of workers losing jobs.
Maybe unions will come around and get it, that average US citizens they pretend to represent, want candidates such as Tom Tancredo? Maybe union leadership will get on the bandwagon.

Tom Tancredo's rhetoric may be over the top on occasion, but when it comes to the issue of immigration policy and illegal aliens, he's in tune with mainstream America. It's quite obvious that the President was pandering to the pro-amnesty/open borders contingent of Hispanic's, pandering politicians, hardcore leftwingers, social liberals and libertarians. For the most part, these political factions aren't part of the Bush constituency and never will be. Thereby, they can be of no value to Bush`s reelection. But if Bush can increase his support among Hispanic's on election day, he'll have an insurance policy of sorts that will help him secure victory. It makes for a good stump speech, but its lousy policy.

Rove, the presidents senior advisor, is attempting to find someone to run against Cong. Tancredo in this years election. And the author's source for this is . . . ?
Oh, that's right. He made it up out of his head. Or maybe he saw it on an internet message board, right there with the internet polls he thinks are so important.

If he's a political guru, he knows the American people are against amnesty and blatant giveaways to illegal aliens. That should have been evident to Rove after Davis was recalled. He must think the WH is immune to negative public reaction.

I think it's amazing how many people think they know what Rove is thinking.
