You know, I can't help but feel a little sorry for the guy. Who in their right mind would purpose to make an utter fool of himself in front of the whole world? Did he declare one day in his youth when he was watching tv with his family, even though they didn't have a tv, "I am going to grow up and be a giant ignoramus!!"

The man is a nut. The look in his eye couldn't be scarier. But then that look is the look of a blinded lib, so it's fitting. I guess that's the whole reason for this thread, eh. The man needs a doctor, oh that's right he is one! And for back up he's married to one. His poor children, they must be mortified.

And the real bonus is imagining what's going through the minds of Martin Sheen, Rob Reiner, Janeane Garafalo, etc. as they realize they've been publicly campaigning for a raving lunatic.

But they probably don't even see him that way. Or will refuse to admit it to themselves.

Teddy played to the live audiences before which he was performing. The loud voice and large gestures work well before a live audience of hundreds or more. But on Radio or TV the screaming and big gestures fail to work. They come across as a wild man. That is as much as anything caused teddy Kennedy to bomb even against the wounded Jimmy Carter in the 1980 Democratic primaries . . . . Dean may be a Dr. but he has never studied how to use Radio and TV to win a broadcast audience.

You've nailed it, 'Tator. Dean has exceedingly poor situational awareness and apparently little respect for the power of broadcast media. Edwards, lightweight that he is, has been well-schooled in how to present oneself in the cool medium. As a successful trial attorney, he's also mastered the art of putting the "jury" at ease up close and personal.

Edwards is a far more dangerous candidate than Dean in this regard. Nevertheless, Bush has these same qualities (telegenic, engaging, friendly one-on-one as well as across the depth and breadth of a broadcast audience) and would more than match up well against Edwards.

More than anything else, it is Dean's broadcast media awkwardness and incredibly poor situational awareness that has had Rove salivating for Dean's nomination.

Exactly. Looking and sounding like a president is half the battle. Sometimes, even when Dubya proposes things that mortify me, I want to believe in him, simply because he is so refined and likeable. I wish that he was a lot more conservative than he is, but he's so good at "playing the president" that I can't help but love him. He is mild-mannered yet authorative. If the nut-cases on the other side could only work that into their agenda, they'd fare much better.

Thankfully they won't! Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.

There is another factor that this election reveals that if not fixed by the union bosses will ensure a Bush Victory this fall.

The candidates the Unions supported and put their money behind did not do well. What we have is both the members of the professional unions(Teachers govt workers) and the members of the working class unions (Auto AFL, teamsters) not voting the way the union bosses say.

The largest factor in 2000 was the way union workers voted the union line. In Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan, Pa, and Iowa for example the union workers voted the union line in 2000. They did not vote the union line in 1984 and they didn't in Iowa this year.

If I were a Democrat that result from yesterdays caucus would scare the heck out of me. When the Rank and file won't vote the way the union, says Democrat Candidates are in a heap of trouble.

It will be something to watch. Click her for my take on negative campaigning in a 4 way race I think with 4 viable candidates in a race negative campaign spots are the dumbest thing a candidate can do. Both Gephardt and Dean did them a lot.

Time out guys, this audio file is fake. I heard it live last night and the states are not the same (he actually said Oklahoma and North Dakota) nor was there a scream like that at the end. It is funny, though.

If there was not, by the time you read my post the S&M bunch at Time-Warner TNN/CNN has one on the satellite and cable channels by now.

I get "The Weather Channel" as part of my DirecTV menu; I usually figure looking out the window is more accurate.

He was feeding off the crowd. The true believers apparently couldn't get enough and Dean obliged them.

Have you heard this? My God, the guy's completely starkers.

I heard it live and I thought his head was going to explode! His face turned beet red & there was a look of pure evil on his face.

He's scary but I support him 100% as the Democrat nominee......LOL
