"Collinsworth is VERY annoying. Bring on Madden. Dan Dierdorf. Anyone!"
Howard Cosell in his current state would be better than Collinsworth

Nolan Ryan was one of the greatest pitchers of all time. Anybody who can strike out 5000 and throw seven no-hitters is great. He's not overrated.
ROFL. You just proved my case about people misunderstanding "overrated."
I didn't say Ryan wasn't great. I said he was overrated. A player can be a great player, AND overrated (Sandy Koufax is another example to open yet another off-topic can of worms.)
The object of baseball pitching is not to strike people out. The object of baseball pitchers is not to throw the highest cumulative total of no-hitters.
The object of baseball pitching is to prevent the other team from scoring runs day in and day out.
For much of his career Ryan had poor control and walked huge numbers of people. His ERAs look good NOW but his career was mostly during a pitcher's era pitching in pitcher's parks, and his ERA numbers really weren't that great.
But, a lot of people get infatuated with style over substance. Ryan wasn't close to being as good as, say, a Greg Maddux. Was he more exciting to watch? Sure.

Of course, this way his performance can be blamed on the injury, and they can say "well they would have come back with a healthy McNabb"

I feel bad for the fans of Philly tonight. The team looks just awful and they aren't making any plays at all. McNabb is obviously in pain and is gutting it out. But maybe the coach should put Detmer in there because right now, it's the only chance the Eagles have at this point.

Challenged. The replay sure makes it look like down by contact.

Limbaugh can't win. No matter what happens tonight, his critics can still say "He got them to the championship! What? Overrated?"

Evening Prayers for the Philadelphia Police Department 3 concurrent NFC Championship losses? The last two at home???!
I'd hate to own property in downtown Philly.
