One DU guy said that Bush just handed the election to the Dems. Another said that the Dems should filibuster the SOTU speech. It's a hoot over there!

Can you imagine the consternation on the left if Bush names Condi Rice as his running mate a day before MLK holiday?

"Tempest, just wait for tonight. See what Greta covers. It'll be wall to wall MJ. Then wait for the weekend. You'll have Rita Cosby breathlessly wheezing though exclusive reports from her shpecial sources from the MJ camp for hours on end. Add that onto Geraldo's exclusive reports from his special sources inside the MJ camp for hours on end, then get back to me."

Errrrr, if you haven't noticed yet both Greta and Geraldo are on the left side of the political spectrum and do serve mainly as lib tokens at Fox. So don't expect them to be doing anything on politics anytime too soon. As for Rita Cosby, well she's just a gosspy type.

But the examples you provided are really the least watched lowest rated programs on Fox and does not represent the majority of their programming.

Hey, if the Dims filibuster the SOTU speech, maybe Dog can call W and ask him to give the seats to Freepers!

I took exception to your argument, it was a transparent one. When you suggested the president played politics with this appointment you not only impungned the integrity of the president but of Judge Pickering as well. Yes, President Bush is a master politican and a superb poker player but any political ground gained from this nominatioin happened 2 years ago when he nominated Judge Pickering then steadfastly stood by his nominee. When Judge Pickering did not ask President Bush to withdraw his name from the process I knew they were both willing to go the distance. A recess appointment was the handwrting on the wall of the senate chamber after that all nighter a few months back and most of us knew that. They have now gone the distance and it is a good day for the country.

I don't know what's more fun to watch the Dems cheer W for bringing done Saddam, making Bush look like a great leader, or watching the Dems be rude! I can't wait for the SOTU!

GO W!

What difference where on the political spectrum Greta and Geraldo's politics are? They got hired and work for Fox. (BTW, Greta's father was the campaign manager for Joe McCarthy.) If their tabloid style didn't suit Fox and garner ratings, they'd be gone--as well as Rita Cosby and some of the other tabloid reporters Fox has on staff.

Well, I'd be a bit miffed, because I just bought a pile of "Bush-Cheney '04" stickers to distribute to friends.

"What difference where on the political spectrum Greta and Geraldo's politics are?"

You're right it makes no difference. But Fox's majority audience does not probably would not respond well to either Greta or Geraldo's brand of political idiocy. So since MJ, Scott peterson, and Kobe are still news. Which are carried by all the major cablenews channels. Fox is still obligated to cover it. They just prefer to pass it off on people like Greta and Geraldo. While still leaving their higher rated programs and the majority of their reporting to the important stuff.

So what exactly makes Fox so offensive to you in comparison to the other news outlets available to you????
