If these guys dumped off a SAM or RL, did we go and get those weapons? The Army must have sent someone to clean up any weapons like that. What did they find if they did?

Does Iraq even have any farming land that has tractors?

The area was once known as the "fertile crescent". Yes they have farmland, in the Tigris and Eupradies river valleys. The tractor is a smallish one, with a rather tall exhaust stack. Possibly a Kubota, some of then have that kind of exhaust stack on the left side, even more likely something from the former Soviet union. As much as one can tell from the IR video, it could be a Kubota. The tractor appears to be hitched to a planter, such as for wheat, oats, or other small grain, although it could be some kind of cultivator I suppose.

The position of the second kill would be standing right next to the tractor, which appears to be rather cold as it does not show up as brightly as the men, would be consistent with someone working on the engine. The first kill could have been someone running for a tool.

The first kill was the guy original beside the tractor, not the guy who ran/jogged over to it. He was the second. The second guy can be seen unwrapping something, rather feverously, just before the hammer falls on him. The tractor is hot, you can see a bright vertical stripe on it's left side, which would be the exhaust stack, and at the rear you can see the rear axel of the tractor is also quite warm. The engine is shielded from view for the most part.

It also looks like something explodes on the second hit and throws the perp way off to the left of the screen. Wonder if it was an RPG or something.....

3) What time reference would the Apache's gun camera use: UTC...

Most likely UTC, which is aka "Zulu" time. But I really don't *know* what they use.

No the audio track has crewmembers handing off targets, etc. It is a
gunship video. Newer 25 mm cannon doesn't have the pattern that the 20 had.
20mm was removed from the H model years ago and I figure the U model in this
video was too high to use the 25.

No, those are actual artillery shots coming in. You can hear the gunner at the station yelling out at each shot and then there's a long delay until they hit.

The AC-130 has an "actual artillery" piece in the back. It's a special 105 mm howitzer. The gunner is in the aircraft.

Apache killing video becomes viral news

A graphic US military video showing the killing of three Iraqi people is being circulated via the web after appearing on US TV news channel ABC News.

The one-minute file, filmed from a US Apache helicopter, shows three suspected Iraqi insurgents being shot with 30mm cannon fire. The clip was cut from a longer video obtained by ABC News last week and verified by a senior US army official.

The MPEG format file has been posted to several right-wing US forums, where the effectiveness of the Apache's firepower has been celebrated.

So far though, in spite of its graphic nature, the film does not seem to have attracted much attention from the anti-war movement.

Tony Sleep, a freelance photographer in the UK, was one recipient of the file. He was emailed a link to a US academic site that temporarily hosted the MPEG file.

"It's very uncomfortable to watch because it's so calculated," he told dotJournalism. "It's quite pornographic actually."
