Apparently this is a clip of a longer video of an Apache gunship engaging Iraqis.
Warning: This video is graphic!!!

But, please... PLEASE... remember that it IS a grim duty. Respect these men for having the intestinal fortitude to carry it out. But don't wallow in the moment.
A Tip of the hat to you Bolo.

Wish there was an FLIR video of incoming artillery.
*Aww poo.*
That is a graphic vid, but an interesting vid to watch.
The bad guys scrambling all over and acting surprised.

I still think there's a strong possibility that it's just a spotter camera plane. Look at the amount of time between shots and impact. A lot. And no small arms fire, it's all artillery impacts on it.

The AC-130 Gunship carries twin Gatling 20mm cannons, a BOFURS 40mm Cannon (really bad news), and a 105mm HE Cannon. None are small arms.
All your base are belong to us.

Great link ~ thanks PokeyJoe!I'm a bit late in checking in here. While I have downloaded two versions of the "abridged" video (starting with the shooting), is the "longer" version available somewhere? The one that shows what the bad guys were doing before the AH-64 spoiled their day?

I guess we will hear about this from the NY Times! And when you hear about it from the Pooper of Record, you'll probably hear about it from everybody!

I am disturbed by this video. Not because the guys didn't deserve it, it looked to me like they did (it was pretty obvious the 2nd perp was going after a weapon), but because why is THIS VIDEO the only live action video that has been leaked on the internet? Who leaked it? My guess is it was a bleeding heart intel guy that thought the Apache crew was being mean. Are you trying to tell me that there isn't any good Apache video available from the invasion or subsequent occupation that isn't as cool to see as this? I smell a RAT.

The spookey footage has no laser ranging or targeting at all !...in fact if you watch and pay attention you will see that the gunner is leading the runners with the 105 like a duckhunter leads ducks...Yeah, it's great. But my comment about an AC-130 was just referring to other footage I've seen watching it's laser guided guns blazing. I wasn't referring to the apache footage.

Dang, I was going to show this video to my wife but their site is down. I wonder if all the FReepers shut it down looking at it! lol
Then I went to the ABC site for the same video and they want money to view it! What a crock.

Watched the short version...
If these guys were just "simple farmers.." (a comment from a DUmmy) they would have been a hookin' and a bookin' right after the first burst of rounds that missed (or throwing their hands in the air). Not trying to free up what looks to me like a crew served weapon.
Too bad, Soooooo sad.
..or, in the understated commentary of Vic3o3. "Sucks being them..."
You can just feel the sympathy from both of us, can't you???
