- The United States Constitution (c) 1791. All Rights reserved.
- Personal firearms: The original point and click interface.
- An armed man is a citizen. An unarmed man is a subject.
- A gun in the hand is better than a dispatcher on the phone.
- Gun control is not about guns; it's about control.
- If guns are outlawed, can we use crossbows? ...how about swords, clubs or icepics?
- If guns cause crime, then pencils cause misspelled words.
- Free men do not ask permission to bear arms.
- If you don't know your rights you don't have any.
- If government cannot trust its citizens with firearms, government cannot be trusted.
- Those who trade liberty for security end up losing both.
- What part of "shall not be infringed" do you not understand?
- The Second Amendment is in place in case they ignore all of the others.
- Approximately 79,999,977 firearms owners killed no one yesterday.
- Guns only have two enemies: rust and totalitarians.
- Know guns...know peace, know safety.
- No guns...no peace, no safety.
- You don't shoot to kill; you shoot to stay alive.
- Assault is a behavior, not a device.
- Criminals love gun control -- it makes their jobs safer.
- If guns cause crime, then matches cause arson.
- Only a government that is afraid of its citizens tries to disarm them.
- You only have the rights you are willing to fight and die for.
- The American Revolution would never have happened if gun control were in place.
- If the founding fathers of America were alive today, in all likelihood they would have already rebelled against curretn gun control laws.

Well, now you've got my interest, but the pic did not show up in your post.

Still, even "assault weapons" are no match for the stuff the jack-booted thugs have at their disposal I would argue that they are a match for what government officials and their personnel have.
1st, those government people are citizens too, with wives, children, relatives and friends who desirte to live in freedom. it is likely that in any such confrontation, those opposing government tyranny will have some help and that there will be fighting amongst those in the government itself. Through such means, some of that equipment will certainly be in the fight on the side of the citizenry fighting for freedom and be employed by those who know how to use it.
2nd, and even more importantly, those government personnel and their toys have to be supplied with food, ammunition, shelter, etc. Logistics is a real pain when there are no front lines and you are surrounded on all sides by individuals with rifles and the skill to use them at range.
In such a scenario, while it would be costly, those who are fighting for their liberty, their homes, their wives and children would make the sacrifices necessary to eat up and own the logistics train and again own the heavier equipment and supplies.
As Freeper Travis McGee has said, and to which I assent...
My vote is on the side with the 10,000,000 hunting rifles.

"'We can't be so fixated on our desire to preserve the rights of ordinary Americans...' - President Clinton (USA TODAY, 11 March 1993, page 2A)."
The American people should remember this statement by the hero of the Left. Bill Clinton was and is a socialist tyrant, who would strip away all of the Peoples' rights if he thought he could get away with it.

Reminds me of Enemy at The Gate sniper action.

those who are fighting for their liberty ... would make the sacrifices necessary to eat up and own the logistics train and again own the heavier equipment and supplies. But, that's outside the scope of Amendment II. ;O)

Wait a sec, Jeff. Reverse the phrases and put 'em on two lines.
Reads better and makes it easier to put on a bumper sticker. :)
No Guns, Know Criminals.
Know Guns, No Criminals.

Technology may have advanced...but the heart of man has remained the same. The founders wrote the Bill of Rights directed at the latter and it is therefore timeless.
